Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em
Have you watched this team at all recently? They are terrible. There are no must starts from the Falcons….just a bunch of players with the potential to blow up on your bench or zero out in your line-up.
Gut Calls
Matt Ryan
#15 Ranked QB
Matty Ice has been very confusing this season. The last three weeks have been by far his worst weeks this season so let’s hope the tide is turning. While he only scored 11 fantasy points off of 172 passing yards and 1 TD, he did play the Seahawks who gives up the 2nd fewest points to QBs. This week he will face the Bucs, who give up quite a few points to QBs, so look at your roster and really think before you put him in.
Harry Douglas
#27 Ranked WR
Douglas’ game that left little to be desired. He scored you a total of 2 fantasy points off 7 catches for 49 yards and fumbled deep in Seattle’s territory. Not a great game from young Harry. Roddy White was back, but should you care? No. At the moment Douglas still has the most upside of all the Falcons receivers and the Bucs have a mediocre secondary. Let’s hope that last week was an outlier and he returns to his regular self this week against a pumped up TB.
Tony Gonzalez
#9 Ranked TE
Gonzalez had another agitating week scoring you only 2 fantasy points. You can’t count on him, but then again you can’t count on a lot of the TEs this season. Gonzalez hurt his toe in last week’s game and it is uncertain whether or not he will play this week. Keep a close eye on Tony to see if he will play and get you either 15 points or 2 points. Oh, the anticipation!
Bench Warmers
Jacquizz Rodgers and Steven Jackson
#42 Ranked RB and #32 Ranked RB
Jacquizz outscored the starter, Steven Jackson, but neither of them did particularly well. Jacquizz had 3 carries for 31 yards and was able to get some yardage in the air with 5 receptions for 28 yards whereas Jackson only had 20 yards on 12 rushing attempts. This is another RB by committee with very few touches to share and no one is productive when they do get their hands on the ball. Look elsewhere.
