Tennessee Titans 4-6 at Oakland Raiders 4-6
Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em
Chris Johnson
#9 Ranked RB
Johnson is our first nominee for fantasy comeback player of the year. Great game last week! Against the stout Colts defense he rushed for 86 yards and 2 TDs. This is especially impressive when you realize that the Titans went away from the run in the second and third quarters. The team’s choice to borderline ignore Johnson for half the game didn’t make any sense, so hopefully they won’t make that mistake again. You can’t bench a guy with this level of production. Play him.
Tennessee Defense
#7 Ranked DEF
Oakland has given up the 5th most fantasy points to opposing DEFs this year, and with the QB situation in flux. You might be nervous because the team zeroed out against the Colts last week, but here’s some hard-hitting analysis: Andrew Luck is better than Matt McGloin and Luck has a better handle of his offense. Play Tennessee.
Gut Calls
Kendall Wright
#22 Ranked WR
He’s more valuable in PPR formats, but he’s a good play in standard formats as well. Last week he caught 9 passes for 80 yards. Oakland gives up the 7th most fantasy points to opposing WRs, so this could be a nice week.
Delanie Walker
#14 Ranked TE
Three of his last four games yielded double-digit fantasy points. That’s what you want, especially in a TE. Fitzpatrick seems to like him, so you might want to give him a chance. Last week he caught 10 passes for 91 yards and 1 TD. Frankly, he’s a must start in PPR formats.
Ryan Fitzpatrick
#17 Ranked QB
Last week Fitzpatrick threw for 222 yards, 1 TD and rushed for 26 yards. Not bad, not fantastic. Oakland is a hot mess right now, so he could have a big game. You probably have a better option, but we don’t hate him this week.
Bench Warmers
Shonn Greene
#47 Ranked RB
He rushed for 10 yards last week. All the talk about getting Greene the ball has yet to bear fruit. You need to focus on fantasy starting potential, and without a Johnson injury, this guy doesn’t have a chance. Free up your bench space and pickup legitimate flyers.
