New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins
Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em
Tom Brady
#10 Ranked QB
You can never count Brady out. It was a sure win for the Browns and then Brady pulled out a miracle and won the game. He threw for over 400 yards, two TDs and one INT. Those two TDs came within the last minute of the game. Brady is someone you can count on. At this point in the season, he certainly won’t lose your fantasy game for you.
Shane Vereen
#11 Ranked RB
With Gronkowski out for the season, this vastly moves Vereen up the ranks. He had two solid back to back weeks and this week should be no different as he will be up against the Dolphins who give up the 9th most fantasy points to RBs. Vereen is the RB in New England and should be treated as a RB1.
Julian Edelman
#21 Ranked WR
Edelman’s stock also went up due to the Gronk injury. Edelman seems to be the WR that Brady has the most confidence in right now so he is the guy you should look to. The fact that the Dolphins have placed their starting Corner, Dimitri Patterson, on IR should also give you a bit more confidence.
Gut Calls
All Other Patriot WRs
With Gronk out, that will drastically change the Dolphins’ defensive strategy. There will no longer be a need to double team the TE which would have left a WR open. One of the WRs will benefit so you could take a risk on Amendola or Thompkins but if you are in the playoffs, you probably already have better WRs on your team to choose from.
Bench Warmers
Patriots are boom or bust; therefore there are no real Bench players this week. The Patriots as a whole are a giant Gut Call.
