Washington Redskins 4-12
Welcome to NFC East Week and the Washington Redskins 2014 Fantasy Highs and Lows! Each week we will go division by division breaking down each team.
This team was a total nightmare all season long between a carasoul of quarterbacks, Pierre Garcon’s role being non-existent, Alfred Morris not getting enough love and the overall drama we come to expect from the Redskins.
Highs:
Do I be nice? Do I be mean? If I was nice I would say DeSean Jackson and Alfred Morris. DeSean quickly became the man in town and ended up the 16th highest scoring wide out despite having what seemed like a different quarterback each week. Alfred Morris, sweet, sweet Morris….ended up the 12th highest scoring running back, which is right about where we thought he would land…so no disappointment there. NOW…if I were to be mean, I would say my high was the constant entertainment the Redskins gave me when it came to the quarterback position. Between Cousins vs Griffin drama…than Griffin vs McCoy drama…then Griffin vs Gruden drama….then oh crap…we have to go with Griffin now due to injury…and then he did okay so what does that mean for next year???? Oh the drama. You are the gift that keeps on giving RG3.
Lows:
Pierre Garcon; it was so bad I genuinely feel bad mentioning you again in this manner. You went from the 14th highest scoring wide receiver in the league in 2013 to 54th in 2014. That my friends is what we call a nose dive and it wasn’t like he did it all himself. He was slowly pushed off the edge by DeSean Jackson coming to town and getting more targets; and then RG3, Colt McCoy, Kirk Cousin jumping on top of him with their inconsistent bad play. I want to apologize to you Pierre, you aren’t bad. YOU AREN’T BAD!
Now we will get to wait and see what the draft and off season brings us. There are rumors that the Redskins might make a move for Marcus Mariota, so only time will tell who will be under center come kickoff but one thing is for sure…this team will still be drama packed next year.Just how we like it.
