Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller   Week 17. It’s finally … over? Sadly, the NFL regular season is approaching its end. It’s at this point each season we’re painfully reminded just how short the football calendar is. For most owners, the fantasy season ends Monday night with the Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos putting a cap on Week 16. But there are some leagues that continue into Week 17, and obviously daily fantasy will still be going strong. With that in mind, it’s always important to consider any valuable waiver wire pickups. Below, Andrew lists a handful of receivers to consider adding to your roster or inserting in DFS lineups. Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Targets Markus Wheaton - WR, PIT - 49% owned on Fleaflicker Wheaton, like the rest of the Steelers’ passing offense, was disappointing in Sunday’s road loss to Baltimore. He finished with 41 yards on just three receptions. This snapped a four-game stretch where Wheaton had at least 65 yards or a touchdown in each of them. The Steelers conclude the regular season on the road against Cleveland, offering Wheaton and company a chance to redeem themselves. The Browns just gave up a pair of touchdowns through the air to Kansas City’s Alex Smith, and still rank just 22nd in pass defense, allowing 253 yards per game. Pittsburgh desperately needs a win to keep its wild-card hopes alive, so expect...

Week 17 Tight End Waiver Wire Must Haves

Pick these guys up! We partnered with RotoBaller to give you accurate and timely waiver wire adds. In turn, they post our podcast to their site (which is centered around setting your weekly lineups). Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller Although Week 17 can be as unpredictable as global-warmed weather due to teams shutting players down either for the playoffs or to spare them from needless injury in meaningless games, there are still some fantasy leagues out there that use the last week of the NFL season as their fantasy Super Bowl. If a fantasy owner made it to his/her league’s title game without a decent tight end, congratulations! While quarterbacks, running backs and receivers are more important to fantasy football success, winning consistently without at least an average tight end is difficult. But if you are now in your league’s championship game and you think an upgrade at the tight end position this week could put your squad over the top, there are still some options available on most waiver wires. Here are three tight ends worthy of a look: Week 17 Waiver Wire — Tight Ends (TE) Zach Ertz (TE, PHI) — 40% Owned in Fleaflicker Ertz’s 2015 campaign was rockier than Rick Perry’s presidential campaign. He went without a touchdown catch for the first 10 games and missed a week due to a concussion. But at least Ertz’s 2015 is ending on a much higher note than Perry’s. Ertz has been downright dominant over the past three games, catching 26 passes for 298 yards and one touchdown. That’s more receptions and yards than some starting...

Week 17 Quarterbacks Waiver Wire Must Haves

Pick these guys up! We partnered with RotoBaller to give you accurate and timely waiver wire adds. In turn, they post our podcast to their site (which is centered around setting your weekly lineups). Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller   There is just one more week left in the regular season. For many that means the fantasy season is already over. However, for the few that may still be playing in Week 17 without a sure thing at QB Zach has got you covered. First let’s look back at Week 16. With four QBs left to play at the time of writing, Kirk Cousins sits at QB #1 for the week! Johnny Manziel did nothing as a passer but ran for over 100 yards to give himself an alright day. Teddy Bridgewater is warming up before the start of his game as I write this. So for one final week - for this article I will look at two QBs owned in 50% or less of Fleaflicker leagues and another QB owned in 25% or less to account for the QB scarcity in 2QB leagues. The waiver wire is always thinner this time of the year but there is always a good stream if you look hard enough! As a side note, there are a few QBs right around 50% owned that I have written about several times that I seriously doubt are unowned in any really competitive league. Those are Ryan Fitzpatrick (48%), Tyrod Taylor (48%) and Alex Smith (49%). If those guys are unowned, go ahead and add them. I’m going to focus on less...

Week 16 Wide Receivers Waiver Wire Must Haves

Pick these guys up! We partnered with RotoBaller to give you accurate and timely waiver wire adds. In turn, they post our podcast to their site (which is centered around setting your weekly lineups). Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller It’s Week 16; do you know where your fantasy football team is? If it’s still playing games that means something, congratulations! You’re among the chosen few still alive. Most leagues have their championship matchups in Week 16, but some wait until Week 17. Either way, the games are kind of important at this point. It should go without saying, but we’ll say it anyway — if you’re still playing, you did something right, so there’s no reason to crazy with lineup changes. Still, Week 15 saw A.J. Green, Danny Amendola, Alshon Jeffery and Ted Ginn Jr. all suffer injuries of varying degrees, so now is not the time to get lazy. Andrew thinks, if you can make a savvy waiver pickup, it could mean the difference between a fantasy league title and an offseason fraught with second-guessing. Championship Wide Receivers - Waiver Wire Targets Kamar Aiken - WR, BAL - 39% owned on Fleaflicker Few receivers have become as consistent on a week-to-week basis as Aiken. It’s true, we swear! Consider this: Aiken has at least five receptions in seven straight games, and at least 50 yards in six of those games. He’s coming off his best outing of the season, an eight-catch, 128-yard game in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. If you can still scoop Aiken up, particularly in PPR leagues, do it this week....

Week 16 Tight End Waiver Wire Must Haves

Pick these guys up! We partnered with RotoBaller to give you accurate and timely waiver wire adds. In turn, they post our podcast to their site (which is centered around setting your weekly lineups). Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller It all comes down to this…for some of you! If you are lucky enough to be alive in the playoffs in your fantasy football league, you are either in your semifinals or you are in the Super Bowl because your league skips the last week of the season. So every point you get from your quarterback to your kicker is crucial. The tight ends on the waiver wire at this juncture of the season are scarce. Pulling a diamond out of the rough now is harder than keeping Houston Texans quarterbacks healthy, but here are Craig’s three tight ends that could help out fantasy owners during this important week. Week 16 Waiver Wire — Tight Ends (TE) Will Tye (TE, NYG ) — 8% Owned in Fleaflicker It is time to jump on the fantasy bandwagon of the man with the short but sweet name. If you thought he was a fluke then you must have thought Devonta Freeman, Allen Robinson and Jordan Reed were flashes in the pan, too! Tye has taken over for the injured Larry Donnell and been a fantasy find since he was inserted into New York’s starting lineup. While Tye has averaged five catches and 55 yards over his past five games, the big news came out of his last two outings. He scored touchdowns in back-to-back contests after not finding the end...
