Week 13 San Diego Chargers Fantasy Forecast

San Diego Chargers 7-4 at Baltimore Ravens 7-4 We’re still reeling with disappointment. The Chargers started this season rock solid and now we’re not sure who we can play from this squad. The Ravens defense is pretty tough so we’re cautiously optimistic in the Week 13 San Diego Chargers Fantasy Forecast. Baltimore gives up the 8th most points to QBs the absolute fewest points to RBs 3rd most points to WRs 20th most points to TEs 4th fewest points to DEFs   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Ryan Mathews – #19 Ranked RB Last week he rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown against St. Louis, a tough run defense. The Ravens give up the absolute least points to RBs, but I still think the workload will be there. They have to run.   Gut Calls Philip Rivers – #20 Ranked QB Still not a safe choice. Last week he accrued 291 passing yards, one touchdown, one interception. The Ravens secondary is terrible, so we think there could be a comeback in the works. They give up the 8th most points to QBs and the 3rd most to WRs. Fingers crossed. Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd and Eddie Royal – #22 and #58 and Not Ranked WRs Last week Allen caught six of is nine targets for 104 yards and a touchdown. Royal caught all six o his targets for 50 yards. Floyd caught four of five targets for 30 yards. The Ravens defense made Marques Colston look good, so any of these guys can go off and clearly you can see by their work load that the Chargers are committed to splitting the...

Week 12 San Diego Chargers Fantasy Forecast

St. Louis Rams (4-6) at San Diego Chargers (6-4) This whole team went from first to worst. Okay, not worst, but they have not found their footing since the Week 9 Miami beat down. We’re not buying the Rams’ big performance last week as much as we think the Broncos kept getting injured and beating themselves, so we’re looking for a bounce back in the Week 12 San Diego Chargers Fantasy Forecast. St. Louis is tied for the 8th most fantasy points to QBs 10th fewest points to RBs 4th most points to WRs tied for 5th least points to TEs 2nd most points to DEFs   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Philip Rivers – #10 Ranked QB He went from fabulous to blah. Last week he threw for 193 yards and one touchdown. Tough to win with that. However, the Rams give up the 8th most fantasy points to QBs.   Gut Calls Ryan Mathews – #21 Ranked RB Questionable due to a knee injury. He was limping on Sunday, but he says he feels fine. I still don’t love him against the Rams – they give up the 10th fewest points to RBs. Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd – #26 and #42 Ranked WR Sure. Why not? The Rams give up the 4th most points to WRs and sometimes they’re okay. Last week Floyd was the one who scored while Allen was the one with 8 catches. If Allen could score more than one touchdown on the season. Antonio Gates – #3 Ranked TE Bad game in Week 9 at Miami. Bye. Bad game in Week...

Week 12 – St. Louis Rams Fantasy Forecast

St. Louis Rams (4-6) at San Diego Chargers (6-4)   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em None     Gut Calls Tre Mason– #24 Ranked RB As I am sure you have figured out by this point in the season, it is extremely difficult to predict what the Rams are going to do in the back field, but it appears if you look at the last 5 games, that they have overall been sticking with Mason. Other than week 8, when he only had 7 touches, he has been averaging 20 touches in the past few games. What is even more encouraging is that he had 29 touches last week, which means the Rams confidence in him is growing. He ran for 113 yards so that should secure his starting spot for next week in case you are worried about the good ole switcheroo.   Kenny Britt– #50 Ranked WR Do I feel confident that the tide has for sure turned for Kenny Britt, no, but sometimes you have to roll the dice and there are worse options. The situation is that he is pretty much the only option in the air and the Rams have switched quarterbacks to Shaun Hill, who seemed to play pretty well last week. I would feel better if you waited another game before you put him in your line-up but picking him up off waivers isn’t a bad idea and stash him if you have the roster space.     Bench Warmers   Greg Zuerlein– #18 Ranked K I just want to give a shout out to Mr. Greg Zuerlein. Greg the Leg….Legatron…Okay...

Week 11 San Diego Chargers Fantasy Forecast

Oakland Raiders 0-9 at San Diego Chargers 5-4 IMPLOSION! The shut out before the bye in Miami was off the hook in the most negative way fantasy players could imagine. This week they get to bouce back at home against the struggling Oakland Raiders. Still, there are remnants of doubt mixed with calculated optimism in the Week 11 San Diego Chargers Fantasy Forecast. Oakland gives up the 12th most points to QBs 3rd most points to RBs 7th fewest points to WRs 15th most points to TEs 5th most points to DEFs   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em If I had to list “Things I Don’t Want to Talk About” I would put San Diego at the top of this list. Prior to the Miami game before the bye they were the jewel in my crown. Now, I’m terrified. Ryan Mathews and Branden Oliver – #20 and #37 Ranked RBs I HATE HAVING DEMARCO MURRAY ON BYE Why am I bringing that up now? Well, Oakland gives up the 3rd most points to RBs. I believe they will split the carries between Oliver and Mathews (yes, Ryan Mathews is back from injury) and I think that split is best for both of them. Also, I think it’s within the realm of possibilities that BOTH score a touchdown. They have surrendered 11 rushing touchdowns on the season so far. Fingers crossed. Philip Rivers – #9 Ranked QB Prior to laying down negative points at Miami, Rivers was on the cusp of a MVP style fantasy season. And no, he did not really get pulled from the game due to...
