Last week was an epic implosion for all Giants. It was hard to watch, but you need to know that Andre Brown is a great RB playing on a bad team. Sadly, Detroit gives up the 9^th fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs so it might not get better. Sorry.

This write-up simply highlights that we finally ranked Eli at #32 and we need to tell you that he scored -3.76 fantasy points last week after throwing five INTs at home against Seattle. Also, we want to preemptively shoot down the notion that next year he’ll bounce back and be a top QB.

Wilson did not fair too well against the 49ers for round two this year. He only scored 10.16 fantasy points. He threw for less than 200 yards, only one TD and one INT. Not great, but he is the 7^th highest scoring QB for the season so clearly he is able to score points. The Giants give up the 18^th fewest points to QBs, which lands them right in the middle of pack, meaning Wilson should have a good chance at bouncing back this week.

Marshawn Lynch

#7 Ranked RB

Don’t bench the guys that got you here, and Lynch definitely played his part in getting you into the playoffs. The Giants give up the 12^th fewest points to opposing RBs, so it won’t be a cakewalk for Lynch. Nonetheless you should play him.

Seahawks DEF

#2 Ranked DEF

Eli has been a mess this year, the WRs have been in consistent and the running game is just starting to find its footing. The Giants give up the most points to DEFs and the Seahawks are no average DEF. Should be a huge week.

No one is ever quite sure who will be the hot, or should we say lukewarm hand out of the Seahawks WRs. You have other WRs that you have been playing all year and stick with them. If you had to choose someone, let it be Golden Tate.

The Seahawks are a far superior team to the Giants; therefore no one is on the bench.

We only ranked Andre Brown at 19 because we factored in junk time. Since Brandon Jacobs went out on Injury Reserve, we think they’ll keep playing Brown and he’ll rack up some yards in a second half after the Seahawks sit all their starters and borderline all their backups. We really like Brown so he’s probably still a Must Start because you can run a little on Seattle (as in they give up the 7^th fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs), but man… The Giants are really, really bad and last week they took Brown with them. We’d love a bounce back, but we are skeptical.

Victor Cruz

#28 Ranked WR

This ranking is crazy, but we’re in line with the other fantasy experts. Last week Cruz didn’t even break into the top 50 WRs after catching five passes for 42 yards. That was his 6^th game this season with five or less fantasy points. Still think there’s a chance? Seattle gives up the 2^nd fewest fantasy points to opposing WRs. Seriously, stop it.

Rivers is finding a good connection with Green the past few weeks scoring no less than 8 points in his last three match-ups. The Giants give up the 9^th most fantasy points to WRs so Greens should have another big week.

Keenan Allen

#15 Ranked WR

The rookie Allen has had two pretty good weeks, weeks that are worth of consideration for a WR2 or WR3 depending on your league. Rivers should be able to air the ball out so all the WRs from the Chargers should have a good chance at scoring points.

#14 Ranked DEF

Eli Manning if you haven’t noticed has been keen to producing turnovers and turnovers are great for DEFs. In fact they give up the most points to DEFs so this could be a very good match-up.

#11 Ranked QB

Rivers borders on being a gut call because the Giants DEF is so bad, but the problem is that there have been many other QBS that have been scoring more points and more points consistently.

San Diego is so-so against the run and Andre Brown is special. He’s been one of the most consistent RBs in the league since returning from injury. Last week he rushed 14 times for 35 yards and two TDs and caught three passes for 23 yards.

We like TEs with back-to-back games with TDs. It’s hard out there for fantasy owners. TEs are incredibly inconsistent this year, so you may want to play him.

#18 Ranked WR

This ranking is too high based on his production thus far this season. However, the Chargers do give up the 4^th most fantasy points to opposing WRs so we’re giving him yet another chance. Eli Manning and this offense continue to be the very definition of anemic. Sadly, if you drafted Cruz, and kept playing him (like me) you probably didn’t make the playoffs. Good luck in the consolation round.

The diamond in the rough. Once again, Brown had a great game against the Cowboys last week. He rushed for 127 yards, caught four passes for 11 yards and scored a two-point conversion. Washington gives up the 7^th most fantasy points to opposing RBs, so look for continued growth. Andre Brown is worth your investment.

Last week Cruz caught two passes for 27 yards and one fumble against the porous Cowboys secondary. All this while Nicks was out and it was a must-win game. He’s the ex you can’t shake. You keep going back even when you get the same results, time and time again. If you can’t deal with him anymore, no one would blame you.  If you just got a little depressed reading this write up, join the club. Cruz owners have felt this way all season.

Reuben Randle

#35 Ranked WR

Randle didn’t fare too well, either, but at least he didn’t fumble. Last week Reuben caught three passes for 64 yards. It’s nothing to write home about, but the Washington defense is so terrible we feel like we have to give you WR option other than Cruz and Randle was the top WR for the Giants last week. What does that tell you?

We may need to bring this group up in the rankings. Since Week 7, the Giants have forced at least one turnover in each game and in four out of five of those games they forced multiple turnovers. Washington continues to go through their growing pains, so there are some defensive fantasy points to be had.

So many people thought that last week would be Eli’s “breakout game” because he played his best game of the season against the Cowboys in Week 1. Well, like the majority of the year, it was lackluster. It’s a juicy match-up, with Washington giving up the 6^th most fantasy points to opposing QBs, but time and time again we watch Eli drudge through mediocrity. It’s hard to believe that will change anytime soon.

Welcome back, Cruz.  Last week he caught 8 passes for 110 yards against Green Bay.  Look for similar production against the Cowboys.  They need Cruz, so they will try to get him the ball.

Dallas gives up the MOST fantasy points to opposing RBs.  The Giants will run.  Will Brandon Jacobs vulture another short yardage TD just to drive you crazy?  Probably.  But you should start Brown because he will get a ton of work and he looks healthy.

Reuben Randle

#33 Ranked WR

Randle leads the team in TDs.  In fact, he’s scored 6 TDs in the last six games.  In the season opener against the Cowboys, Randle caught 5 passes for 101 yards.  He’s the perfect flyer this week if you’re looking for a DeSean Jackson replacement.

Dallas gives up the 2^nd fewest fantasy points to opposing DEFs.  However, here are the Giants’ fantasy scores from the last four games: 16, 17, 17, 11.  If Romo is the “turnover” Romo this week, the Giants could be a sneaky play.  If Romo decides he’s “hero” Romo, then you are in trouble.  Pick your poison.

He just can’t help himself.  Last week he threw yet another pick.  You know how we feel about this guy, but we have to look at the facts.  Dallas gives up the MOST fantasy points to opposing QBs and Eli had his only 20+ fantasy point game against Dallas in the season opener.  If you need to fill in for Russell Wilson or Nick Foles this week, Eli is the ultimate boom or bust option.

Hakeem Nicks

#24 Ranked WR

Over the last four weeks Nicks has averaged 5 fantasy points per game.  He’s clearly the WR3 and, really, the fourth option when you add Andre Brown into the equation.  Anything can happen, but he’s getting phased out of this offensive, and if you need some space on your roster, you can drop him.

Welcome back, Andre!  Last week Brown threw himself quite the homecoming party by rushing 30 times for 115 yards and 1 TD.  Hopefully he won’t touch the ball that many times again because we want him to stay healthy, but you can bet your bottom dollar that he’s the new sheriff in town.

You can do it.  You can bench Cruz if you have a better option.  Manning can’t get him the ball.  Last week he caught 3 passes for 37 yards, 0 TDs.  That’s not going to get you into the championship game.  He’s a WR2, maybe.  Eli is terrible and to be fair, there is NO pass protection.  It’s unfortunate.  Cruz still possesses an immense amount of talent, but it’s just not happening this year.  Not.  Happening.

He played the entire game against Oakland and scored a whopping 7.3 fantasy points by throwing 140 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and he rushed for -3 yards.  And for those of you who think we’re being harsh, over the entirety of the season we’ve ranked him on average the #20 QB.  He’s actually averaged out to be the #21 QB.  We’re generous.

You can’t bench guys like Eddie Lacy, but we don’t feel exceptionally great about him this week. The Giants actually give up the 11^th fewest points to RBs and we all thought Lacy would have produced more than he did last week. Let’s chalk it up to Wallace going down and not having the best game plan for their 3^rd string QB. Yeah, let’s go with that…eh.

Not only did they lose Aaron Rodgers, but now the Packers are down to their 3^rd string QB. Third string QBs don’t bode well for WRs. Look elsewhere until you see some sort of rhythm in Green Bay.

He only made 2 out of 4 field goals last week and an extra point kick. He is just too inconsistent and this is a year where you need to count on kickers for points.  Crosby is not your guy.

Before the bye, at Philadelphia, Cruz caught 7 passes for 86 yards.  We once believed that Victor’s talent knew no bounds, but now we know that Eli Manning and their terrible offensive line can and will bring a good man down.

They love him and supposedly he will play this week.  He broke his leg in the preseason, and that’s a little scary.  Legs are pretty important.  The Giants said they plan on “easing him in.”  We believe that, but that’s okay because he’s the guy they will use in the red zone.  He doesn’t need a lot of touches to score a lot of fantasy points in the end zone.

Peyton Hillis

#38 Ranked RB

You may not need him this week, but there’s a serious possibility that he remains the featured back in New York.  Andre Brown is back, but while they ease him in they will need a bruiser to get the ball down the field.  Listen, his stats weren’t great last week.  He rushed for 70 yards and caught 3 passes for 15 yards.  But if you’re in a bad place with your RBs, he’s worth a bench stash, and a possible play.

Damn.  He’s terrible.  He averages 12.06 fantasy points per game.  That’s 37^th out of all QBs this season.  Abysmal.
