If you watched this game you know that he didn’t get you your points until very late in the game, but points are points and it doesn’t matter when in the game they get them. Gordon has bee a rock star for you all season and he will be up against the Jets who give up the 7^th most point sot WRs. Stick with your guy.

Browns DEF

#7 Ranked DEF

The Browns DEF scored 14 points against Chicago, a far superior offensive juggernaut in comparison to the Jets. The Jet’s are turnover machine and give up the 2^nd most points to DEFs. PLAY THE BROWNS!

Well…I guess Cameron isn’t back to baller status. Sad. He only had 3 catches for 2 points last week and his ribs aren’t doing too well either. The only reason he is a Gut Call is because of the match-up. The Jets give up the 7^th most points to TEs and maybe Cameron can send you off in style.

Don’t take a flyer on Baker. He was just signed from the practice squad and had a nice little game with 13 points, but the Browns backfield is a nightmare and beyond inconsistent.

Carolina gives up the 3^rd fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs so this is really a Gut Call for your Flex. Last week he ran for 76 yards and one TD, but that was against the Raiders. We don’t feel great about him, but he will get work and has established himself as the true number one back in Jets Nation.

Bench Warmers

Everyone else. Carolina at home after losing to the Saints wouldn’t be a good matchup for anyone. And the Jets are… let’s go with “inconsistent.”

Chris Ivory is considered Questionable and was limited in practice due to an ankle injury. Miami gives up the 6^th most fantasy points to opposing RBs, so someone should have a relevant fantasy performance out of these two players. But who? Check injuries and play if you’re in a pinch. If they are both healthy, go with Ivory.

When it comes to fantasy football, the Jets are frustrating.  In fact, when it comes to real football, it’s pretty much the same story.

Chris Ivory

#13 Ranked RB

Last week, Ivory was the only Jet who came to play.  He rushed 15 times for 98 yards and 1 TD.  However, this week he goes up against Baltimore.  The Ravens give up the 3^rd fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs.  The Jets need him to produce, but the match-up makes us nervous.

Santonio Holmes

#41 Ranked WR

The good news: Holmes looked healthy and ready to play last week against Buffalo. He was the top fantasy WR for the Jets with 71 yards receiving.  The bad news: there is a serious QB and/or leadership problem in New York, causing all fantasy owners to pause.  Geno Smith was benched in the fourth quarter for Matt Simms.  Neither of these guys can get Holmes the ball on a consistent basis, so we’re looking at a boom or bust play.

We think the “Dave and Busters” excuse is lame.  This team can only be described as inconsistent.  Don’t look for fantasy production on the Jets.

You might be surprised, but Buffalo gives up the 9^th fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs.  Ivory was great before the bye, scoring 19.9 fantasy points.  However, the week before he only scored 1.1 points.  You know you’re taking a chance.

#24 Ranked QB

Who are the receivers on this team?  Can you name any?  Can you name any that are healthy?  That’s the problem.  We don’t even know how to assess Geno at this point because the team cannot keep a WR or a TE on the field more than one week in a row.  Best of luck to him… on the waiver wire.

Bilal Powell

#43 Ranked RB

We don’t know if Powell farts in the locker room, or if he dated a young relative of one of the coaches, but he really pissed someone off.  That seems to be the only possibility.  You might not need to have him on your roster at all.  He hasn’t scored over 5 fantasy points since September 29.

New Orleans Saints at New York Jets

Oh, man.  Hopefully the Jets will fare better against Saints than they did last week against the Bengals.  Ouch, it still hurts.  Fantasy players need more or we’ll have no chance for the trophy, let alone the playoffs.

This week, we made some gut calls on David Nelson, Geno Smith, Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell.

It’s worth noting that Nelson posted two 80 yard games in a row. The Jets acquired him only four weeks ago, so this guy could end up being the top Jets receiver. We’re not sure that’s saying much, but it is what it is. He’s a nice stash if you have room on your roster and a gutsy play if you’re on the ropes.

Frustrating.  You cannot count on either of these two to give you the fantasy points you need from a starting RB.  At this point, hopefully you’ve already decided to start a WR if you have a Flex position to fill on your roster.  The lack of consistent production is maddening.  And besides the Jets’ frenetic play calling, Cincinnati has given up the 9^th fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs.  Even on a crazy bye week, try to find a better option.
