Baltimore Ravens 4-5 at Chicago Bears 5-4
Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em
Josh McCown
#12 Ranked QB
McCown straight up balled the one time he officially got the start this season. He threw for 272 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Not to jinx him, but he’s yet to throw an INT. If that sounds like a delightful addition to your starting lineup, then you can read. Ha! Seriously, he’s only owned in 8% of leagues, so he’s available. He also may be the most naturally blonde grown man in the league. Check it out. It’s crazy.
Matt Forte
#7 Ranked RB
Every rose/season has its thorn… Last week Forte made owners weep, but really we’re just selfish. He’s been dynamite all season so one bad game was a letdown. Frankly, the entire team was off with a gimpy Cutler running the offense. Look for more cohesion and a smoother game for Forte and the gang. You gotta start him and we don’t think you’ll be sorry.
Brandon Marshall
#3 Ranked WR
Last week Mr. Marshall scored 2 TDs. He’s matchup and backup proof. Start with confidence and appreciation. Most fantasy owners are not so lucky.
Alshon Jeffery
#13 Ranked WR
Last week, Jeffery saw 18 targets, a team high for the week. He caught nine of those passes for 114 yards. Frankly, he should have scored a TD, but the refs said he bobbled the ball. Grr. He’s not a flash in the pan; he’s here to stay. Play if you can.
Gut Calls
Chicago Bears Defense
#10 Ranked DEF
Baltimore gives up the 15th most fantasy points to opposing DEFs. That’s middle of the pack. And the Bears are not the old “defense-first” Bears, so it’s a little dicey. The Bears defense is a little better at home and they are still mad about losing to the Lions, so they might be a nice play.
Bench Warmers
We’d play all the Bears. Now that McCown is the starter, they’re solid. We’re not saying that a healthy McCown is better than a healthy Cutler, but we are saying a healthy McCown is MUCH better than an injured Cutler.
