Chicago Bears 6-4 at St. Louis Rams 4-6
Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em
Matt Forte
#1 Ranked RB
And welcome to your weekly “Matt Forte is Awesome Update!” Last week he rushed for 83 yards and caught 5 passes for 42 yards and 1 TD…. against the tough-against-the-run Baltimore defense. This week he goes up against St Louis. The Rams give up the 3rd most fantasy points to opposing RBs, so get ready for gooey fantasy goodness.
Brandon Marshall
#4 Ranked WR
You may or may not have seen the game, but it was DISGUSTING. That field was borderline unsafe and the game was all about rushing and defense. Brandon Marshall had his worst fantasy game so far this season. He caught 4 passes for 42 yards. But have no fear, next week they play in the St Louis dome. Look for a nice bounce back.
Gut Calls
Josh McCown
#18 Ranked QB
Like Marshall, it’s hard to analyze McCown’s fantasy contribution last week due to the hideous field conditions. He passed for 216 yards and 1 TD. And this guy doesn’t turn the ball over, at all! We like that. Hopefully he’ll be better this week. And a quick note on Jay Cutler: McCown repeats over and over that he’s the backup QB, but Cutler admitted this week on his radio show that he’s worried about ligament damage in his ankle. Eek! Something to think about.
Bench Warmers
Martellus Bennett
#17 Ranked TE
St Louis gives up the 2nd fewest fantasy points to opposing TEs and Bennett’s production seems to be on the decline. Over the last four games, he’s only average 3.77 fantasy points. Not cutting it.
