Cleveland Browns (4-11) at Pittsburgh Steelers (7-8)
Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em
Antonio Brown (WR)
The Steelers voted Antonio Brown the team MVP this year. This was the second time he won this award in his three seasons in Pittsburgh. Fantasy owners would also like to put Antonio Brown in for consideration for their MVP. Brown is the model of consistency and he’s match-up proof. Over the entire season he’s never had less than five receptions in a game. Joe Haden, the Browns star defender, still has not been cleared to practice with a hip injury, so Antonio Brown has even fewer obstacles than expected. The last time these two teams squared off, Antonio Brown garnered 92 receiving yards and one TD. Look for much of the same.
Other Notables: Le’Veon Bell (RB)
Gut Calls
Ben Roesthlisberger (QB)
Interestingly enough, Ben only won the team MVP in one of his ten seasons as a Steeler. Surprising. Anyway, hopefully you saw Big Ben run in a TD last week. It was quite the sight. The Browns give up the 10th most fantasy points to opposing QBs and Roethlisberger had a quiet, albeit pretty darn good year. He should be on your radar if you lost Romo and Alex Smith and McCown and whoever else. It’s been a crazy year with injuries and benching, so Big Ben might help you cross the finish line.
Other Notables: Heath Miller (TE), Emmanuel Sanders (WR) – although a game time decision with a knee injury, Jerricho Cotchery (WR), Pittsburgh Defense
Bench Warmers
No one. Frankly, the Steelers need to win to have even the most remote chance of making the playoffs. Look for all of the teammates to play their hearts’ out. Frankly, with how poorly the season began, it’s quite amazing what they’ve accomplished.
