New York Jets 1-5 at New England Patriots 4-2

Week 7 – New England Patriots Fantasy Forecast

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Tom Brady – 7th Ranked QB

Brady is a must start against the Jets who give up the second most points to Quarterbacks. Brady was fantastic against Buffalo last week with 361 yards and four touchdowns. That is why we drafted him or traded for him or let’s be honest picked him off the waiver-wire. This is one of my favorite games of the season. Fantasy gold this week for the Patriots.

Rob Gronkowski – 1st Ranked TE

Another solid game for Gronk last week with 94 yards receiving. He is playing very weel and is on the field for more snaps which all of us fantasy owners appreciate. He left the field on Sunday after a bad fall but returned to finish the game. The Jets really struggle covering tight ends. Expect some Brady Gronk love making to go down Thursday night.

Shane Vereen – 21st Ranked RB

Steven Ridley went out in the third quarter with a torn ACL and MCL and will be out for the season. Very sad for Ridley, very exciting for Vereen owners. Vereen should see more touches and those who play PPR he should see more targets as well. Temper your expectations for Thursday Night; the Jets give up the 7th fewest fantasy points to Running Backs.

New England Defense – 1st Ranked DEF

They play the Jets. Enough said. Play them!

Stephen Gostkowski – 1sst Ranked K

Another double-digit game for Gostkowski last week. He is the leader in fantasy points for kickers and is a must start every week.

Gut Calls

Julian Edelman – 18th Ranked WR

Edelman finally got back into the double-digits last week with 91 yards receiving and a 10-yard run. The good thing about Edelman is that he sees the most targets on the Patriots. The bad news is he hasn’t made a big play in weeks. As long as he is seeing over 10 targets I am starting him.

Brandon LaFell – 27th Ranked WR

LaFell had his best game this year with 97 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns. He is a very Boom or Bust player as is most players who play for Belicheck and seeing that he had a nice game last week that means most likely he won’t this week. They are playing the Jets though so even if it’s not 20 points it might be 7 which might be all you need for a WR3 or flex.

Bench Warmers

No one. Good Luck!
