After practice on Sunday, coach Todd Bowles said Wilkerson tweaked his hamstring. Hamstring injuries linger and are one of the most frustrating “tweaks” an athlete can experience. Hopefully this was minor, especially since DT Sheldon Richardson was suspended for four games due to violating the league’s substance abuse policy and then was arrested for drag racing with a minor in the vehicle and resisting arrest. Also, Wilkerson is looking for a new contract so this is bad timing all the way around.
