St. Louis Rams 2014 Fantasy Highs and Lows

St. Louis Rams 6-10 Welcome to NFC West Week and the St. Louis Rams 2014 Fantasy Highs and Lows! Each week we will go division by division breaking down each team. The Rams didn’t have a whole lot of fantasy value in 2014. Wide receivers were getting picked off week after week with injuries, there were quarterback woes per usual and a running back by committee situation turned into an unreliable running back situation in the end. High: I am really trying to think of a high, I mean…I am really struggling here. Brian Quick was a high for a minute there but then he got hurt, so I guess I would say the Rams defense was consistent in showing up against big teams and I liked seeing that this year. Sorry, guys. I don’t have much on this one.   Low: Let’s start with the LOW low out of the gate…Sam Bradford getting hurt. I mean I just don’t know what you do with this poor kid anymore at this point? I mean….I feel so, so, so bad for this kid with his bad luck and freakish injuries. But what do you do? Apparently the Eagles have a plan in mind. I guess my other low would be the Rams wide outs not really doing much all season long and then all getting injured….it wasn’t pretty. Not that you were really expecting much from them but they are usually good for one good sleeper a year. Bummer City.   The Rams now have Nick Foles instead of Sam Bradford in the mix so it could be a very different...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2014 Fantasy Highs and Lows

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2-14 Welcome to NFC South Week and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2014 Fantasy Highs and Lows! Each week we will go division by division breaking down each team. Highs: Mike Evans, the rookie, played very well this year and was a bright light on the team. He was the top receiver on the team and he was the 2nd highest scoring wide out of all the rookie standouts beating Sammy Watkins and Kelvin Benjamin…just crazy hands ODB surpassed him. Evans will be a sold player and I am excited to see how his sophomore year will go. He will need to catch more of his targets next year…a little something to work on during the off season. He only caught 55% of his targets whereas ODB caught 68%. There is room for growth and that is exciting.   Lows: Well my first low is that they are not going to the Superbowl. That was a shocker, haha.  The next low was that Josh McCown and Lovie Smith were not able to recreate the same kind of magic they had in Chicago in Tampa Bay. They had the pieces in place….Jackson, Evans…but they just couldn’t do it. The question is will they pick up another quarterback this year in the draft?   The answer is yes. The questions is will it be Mariota or Winston. All signs are pointing to Winston and it is kind of a perfect fit for him. Rumor has it the Bucs will be going for a top notch offensive lineman and defense end in free agency. Just a  few more weeks to see...

Atlanta Falcons 2014 Fantasy Highs and Lows

Atlanta Falcons 6-10 Welcome to NFC South Week and the Atlanta Falcons 2014 Fantasy Highs and Lows! Each week we will go division by division breaking down each team. Highs: Julio Jones was the rare high with the Falcons. After a season on the sidelines with an injury he came back and was dependable as always. While he was a little bit hot and cold he was the 8th highest scoring wide receiver in the league which is certainly worth getting excited about.   Lows: My low for the Falcons was the complete mis-use of Antone Smith. Antone Smith was electric when he was in the games and was by far and away the most dynamic running back on the team. The frustrating part was the fact that that Falcons would give him less carries than you can count on one hand per game. When you have a running back crew that leave little to be desired why not take a chance on a player that can provide the team a spark. I will never know why they refused to use him in more plays but it was the low of the season for me without any doubt.   The Falcons have made some big changes in the off season, including getting rid of their head coach. They are in the market to attempt to pick up some big players but will be held at bay with most of them due to the price tag for top notch players being outside their reach. It should be en exciting week to see what will come for the...
