Her Fantasy Football Podcast 1.8.15- 2014 Fantasy Football Season Wrap Up

This week we wrap up the 2014 season by going match up by match up and saying what our highs and lows for each team were. It’s a lot of gronking...

Week 17 – Pittsburgh Steelers Fantasy Forecast

Pittsburgh Steelers (10-5) vs Cincinnati Bengals (10-4-1)   First Holiday Wish My wishes are simple, may Le’Veon Bell be the beast, and all around best all purpose back of the season again for your this week. (2nd highest scoring running back in the league)   Second Holiday Wish May Anontio Brown be the beast that he has been for you all season as the leading wide receiver in the league. You have rode him all the way to the championship and I hope, pray, will sell my soul that he shows up for you this week despite a very, very tough match up against the Bengals.   Third Holiday Wish And Lastly my third wish for any Steeler’s player owner is that Big Ben plays well. Whether or not you own him, he needs to play well for Bell and Brown to have stand out games and for your boom/bust players like Heath Miller, Martavis Bryant and Markus Wheaton to possibly be the flash of brilliance you need to put you over the edge and win your...

Week 17 – Atlanta Falcons Fantasy Forecast

Atlanta Falcons (6-9) vs Carolina Panthers (6-8-1)   First Holiday Wish I am thankful that Steven Jackson had a bit of a resurgence year. He nearly cracked the top 20 of running backs and that was certainly not expected, so if you did draft Steven Jackson this year, you got a lot more value out of him that anticipated. Well done. He has a decent match up this week so I would like to see him come in at the 20 spot for the season.   Second Holiday Wish Next my wish is that the Falcons receiving core is going to be back to full health, or as close to full health as any NFL player ever is for this week. This core is on the brink of being the best wide out core in the NFL. Yeah I said it….you heard me.   Third Holiday Wish Lastly, I would like to see the Falcons really work and groom Devonta Freeman. They have been using him quite a bit more than usual as of recently and he has been doing well. He is their future and keep your eye on him. Wouldn’t be a bad pick up this week in a Flex role if you are...

Week 17 – St. Louis Rams Fantasy Forecast

St. Louis Rams (6-9) at Seattle Seahawks (11-4)   First Holiday Wish I would like the Rams defense to come back and play the way that we have been used to but I am not sure that is looking like an option this week. Seattle gives up the 7th fewest points to defenders and the Rams dropped a bomb last week with -6 points. They really hurt you and I am hopeful that you find another option this week.   Second Holiday Wish I hope that next year we have some consistency in the wide receiver position in St. Louis. One week Britt is the leading receiver than Bailey, then Quick, then a random receiver. I am hopeful they can work on this position next year so that we have some fantasy options out of this team, although they are always good for a sleeper here and there.   Third Holiday Wish If Tre Mason could be a bit more consistent, that would be fantastic. I think he really does have some potential and not in the way I rag on “potential” guys. They were all over the board with who they were going to start. I am hopeful the pick a player and stick with him for the season to give one of these kids some legs to grow...

Week 17 – Detroit Lions Fantasy Forecast

Detroit Lions (11-4) at Green Bay Packers (11-4)   First Holiday Wish There is nothing worse than when you have a stud and that stud has been awesome for you all season long and then has a terrible match up for you in your championship week. It is like all that work and commitment was for nothing. Well….so be it with the Lions defense. To have to play against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, I am sorry my friends. My wish is that you have another viable option this week.   Second Holiday Wish I am thankful for no committee in Detroit this season. Granted last week we saw Reggie Bush score a touchdown and we all cringed a bit hoping this wasn’t going to be the encouragement the Lions needed to bring back the nightmare running back by committee situation to Detroit. Joique Bell has been so good all season long and deserves to be a solo back. I am thankful to the Bell owners out there that you didn’t have to muster through a season with the committee woes. Let’s hope that continues for this last week and that Bush has a small role.     Pile of Coal Lion’s tight ends….wait…who? Oh yeah…and you too Matthew...
