Back by popular demand in 2015… RotoBaller has brought back for the NFL season our Ultimate 2015 Fantasy Football Sleepers & Waiver Wire Pickups List.

Our team of NFL enthusiasts and fantasy football analysts follow football all day, during the offseason and especially during the NFL season. We recommend NFL players for you to consider as 2015 draft sleepers, ADP values, or hot pickups off the waiver wire once the season starts – every single day of the fantasy football preseason and season. Drafting the right undervalued player or adding sleepers off the waiver wire can be a huge difference maker in fantasy leagues. Last year players like C.J. Anderson went undrafted in many leagues, and players like that helped win a ton of fantasy championships.

What’s better than snagging that big time sleeper hot player off the waiver wire before your league does? Well, not much really.  Each day we will update this list, so be sure to check back to see who we’ve added and read the latest analysis about each player. If you aren’t sure who to drop, we’ll help you decide – just ask us in our chat room. Now let’s win some leagues!

New Orleans Saints ThumbnailBenjamin Watson (TE, NO) – Waiver Wire Analysis

Published by: Joe Sorensen – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Stash in 14+ Team PPR Leagues OWNED IN: 15% of Fleaflicker Leagues ANALYSIS: Again, some people will call this move questionable, but I’ll remind you this is only if your team is desperately in need of a spot start. Watson was once relevant in the passing game a long time ago, and had a somewhat valuable fantasy season in 2010 with the Cleveland Browns, finishing with 68 catches for 763 yards and three TDs. This is not to say that he will finish this year with those numbers, but he may have a good game this week against the Arizona Cardinals, who gave up the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends last season. We have heard it all: Jimmy Graham, Kenny Stills and Pierre Thomas are all gone and the team is moving more towards running the ball. However, pass-catching specialist C.J. Spiller isn’t going to play this week. Watson could be in for a couple more targets, considering Mark Ingram is not much of a receiver out of the backfield. It is hard to say if Watson will have the opportunity to score any touchdowns this week, or this season, since Josh Hill will more than likely come in and be the goal-line tight end. Regardless, Watson should see enough targets in this transition offense to make for a valuable spot start this week in PPR leagues

Denver Broncos ThumbnailOwen Daniels (TE, DEN) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Uncle Leo – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Mid-to-Late Rounds for TE1 Upside CURRENT ADP: 119 STD, 133 PPR ANALYSIS: Even though Daniels hasn’t been a very relevant fantasy football tight end recently, he finds himself in a nice situation heading into the season. He is now reunited with Gary Kubiak, which should bring familiarity back to his role, and he has this guy named Peyton Manning running the offense and throwing the ball. We’ve already seen Manning make fantasy studs out of tight ends Julius Thomas, Jacob Tamme and Dallas Clark (among others), so it would be silly to write off Daniels as a potential tight end sleeper. There are a lot of offensive mouths to feed in Denver, with Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, C.J. Anderson and others, but Daniels is in a situation that creates fantasy upside at the very least. He may not become a PPR stud in the “new-look” offense that’s anticipated, and Virgil Green is also in the tight end mix, but Daniels is still a sneaky draft target. While his PPR ADP of 133 (or the 13th tight end being drafted) isn’t a draft day “steal”, it can still return owners with significant value based on his draft day cost. If Daniels emerges as a reliable offensive option, he will outperform many tight ends being drafted ahead of him.

Washington Redskins ThumbnailJordan Reed (TE, WAS) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Uncle Leo – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Later Rounds for TE1 Upside in PPR CURRENT ADP: 229 STD, 186 PPR ANALYSIS: Given the extensive injury history of Reed, I can understand why some fantasy football owners may be shying away from rostering him. But there’s a lot to like here with Reed’s situation entering the start of the NFL season. Let’s take a quick look – he’s healthy, Niles Paul is out for the season, Kirk Cousins will be the starting quarterback, and Reed has normally produced in PPR leagues when healthy. In games where Cousins and Reed both played last year, he racked up stat lines like this: 8-92 (11 targets) and 5-54 (6 targets). In general, he had other games with 7 targets, 11 targets, 10 targets and 7 targets. As mentioned above, the Redskins will be throwing from behind a lot, and Reed should be a primary beneficiary of that as long as he stays healthy. The term “PPR monster” may be in the conversation at some point. With a PPR ADP of 193 (or the 22nd tight being drafted), and only 53% owned, Reed has the upside to be a valuable tight end draft sleeper and waiver wire pickup for fantasy football owners. He needs to be owned in all PPR leagues.

Miami Dolphins ThumbnailJordan Cameron (TE, MIA) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Clem – Rotoballer

BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~75 for TE1 with Upside CURRENT ADP: 93 STD, 91 PPR ANALYSIS: After a very impressive 2013 season (80 receptions, 917 yards and seven TDs), fantasy owners expected Jordan Cameron to take another step in the direction of becoming a dominant tight end. But as is usually the case in Cleveland, things did not go as expected. Cameron sputtered in 2014 to the tune of 24 receptions, 424 yards and two touchdowns while missing five games due to a concussion. Sure there were other red flags before the season started, such as tight end friendly offensive coordinator Norv Turner leaving the Browns for a job in Minnesota. Turner was replaced by Kyle Shanahan, whose offense does not feed the tight end as much. Cameron also had to put up with the three-headed QB monster of Brian Hoyer, Johnny Manziel and Connor Shaw. But those days are now in the past after Cameron took his talents to South Beach. Ryan Tannehill may not be a perennial Pro Bowler, but he is light years ahead of the quarterback play in Cleveland these days. Tannehill has long been criticized for his downfield accuracy, which makes having a tight end that can run short-to-medium routes all the more important. With Charles Clay and Mike Wallace out of town, there will be plenty of targets for the uber-athletic Cameron.  If you miss out on Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham early, you may be able to get Cameron at a cheap price that you wouldn’t have seen in 2014 fantasy drafts.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers ThumbnailAustin Sefarian-Jenkins (TE, TB) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Tom Bellucco – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Draft In Later Rounds CURRENT ADP: Overall #136/ TE #26 ANALYSIS: Austin Sefarian-Jenkins has an even lower ADP than someone like Kyle Rudolph, but he has just as good of a chance to make an impact in 2015. Entering his sophomore season in the NFL, ASJ looks to be more of a cog in the Buccaneers’ offense than he was in 2014. After scoring just two touchdowns on 21 receptions in the first nine weeks, injuries to his back and ankle led to the IR. Sefarian-Jenkins claimed that the back felt great this offseason, and he’s already drawing very positive comments from his coaches and scouts. It might be a bit of a reach to pick a young tight end in an unproven offense, but the acquisition of Jameis Winston should only help the stock of ASJ. His combination of size and speed were what made him a hot commodity on draft day in 2014, and the Bucs will look to get Sefarian-Jenkins into an important role in hopes that he develops into a top tight end. As another high-upside pick, it certainly makes sense to draft both Sefarian-Jenkins and another high upside guy like Rudolph (as long as your league’s bench space allows it) in hopes that one of the two breaks into the top 12 group of tight ends

Indianapolis Colts ThumbnailCoby Fleener (TE, IND) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Vladimir De Wet – Rotoballer

BALLER MOVE: Target ~115 overall  CURRENT ADP: Standard 139, PPR 135 ANALYSIS: Coby Fleener finished last season as the 6th best fantasy tight end. He is currently being drafted as the 14th TE in most standard and PPR leagues. The main reason is that Fleener clearly seems to be the second option at the position behind Dwayne Allen. This is despite the fact that Fleener has played in 32 regular season games to Allen’s 14 over the past two seasons. During those years he had stat lines of 51/608/4 and 51/774/8 in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Fleener finished both seasons as a reliable TE2 option because he was consistently targeted by Andrew Luck, finishing third on the team behind T.Y. Hilton and Reggie Wayne in ’13 and second behind Hilton in ’14. Because Fleener will be expected to split tight end duties throughout the season with Allen it makes it difficult to trust him as a week to week TE1. However, with his consistent play and availability he should be one of the better TE2 options in the league, especially with the ascending Luck and Colts offense. Fleener’s eight receiving touchdown tied him for the team lead last season and made him a boom or bust proposition from a fantasy point of view. Fleener has been Luck’s safety valve since their days together at Stanford and that will not be changing anytime soon. The only question is whether or not the Colts will feature him more to see if he can take the next step to being a potential 1,000 yd receiving option. If not, expect much of the same production which is still pretty damn good for a back up tight end.

Minnesota Vikings ThumbnailKyle Rudolph (TE, MIN) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Tom Bellucco – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target Around Round 10 CURRENT ADP: Overall #114/ TE# 11 ANALYSIS: While Olsen is someone to target early in your drafts, Rudolph can be picked up in the later rounds. Kyle Rudolph has always had immense potential as a big, athletic pass catcher with the Vikings. He has yet to put everything together, mostly due to injuries and poor quarterback play. In 2015, Rudolph will look to stay healthy out of the gate and be the reliant tight end that Teddy Bridgewater will look to often, especially in the red zone. As you can see in my recent article that focuses on Kyle Rudolph as a sleeper, there are plenty of positives to look at with this 260-pound beast. Bridgewater is a quarterback that doesn’t mind getting out of the pocket. When that happens, there will be times when he needs to check down to a possession receiver. Rudolph can serve as that guy. Bridgewater should also look to the big tight end often in the red zone, which could lead to double-digit touchdowns for Rudolph, something he fell just short of in 2012 (his only full season). If he can stay healthy, Rudolph has the ability and opportunity to put up top 12 numbers at tight end. If you wait and miss out on the top options (which is a strategy I turn to often), Rudolph is a nice high-upside pick at the end of drafts.

Carolina Panthers ThumbnailGreg Olsen (TE, CAR) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Tom Bellucco – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Draft Early Fourth/Late Third CURRENT ADP: Overall #47/ TE #3 ANALYSIS: Greg Olsen wasn’t on this list a couple week ago, but with the news that Kelvin Benjamin tore his ACL in practice, Olsen is someone we have to address. I had been teetering back and forth between Olsen (ADP of 47 in standard leagues according to FantasyPros.com) and Kelce (ADP of 50 in standard leagues), since I first started ranking players, and I was starting to believe in myself enough to put Kelce at third among tight ends. However, Olsen becomes third with the injury to Benjamin, and his ADP should certainly spike upwards in the coming drafts. Not only does Olsen have a better quarterback then Kelce, but he is more proven as well. In the last three seasons, the Panthers’ tight end has played all 48 regular season games, and eclipsed 100 targets each year. 2014 was his best year yet, as he racked up an above-average 84 catches on 123 targets and was able to finally reach the 1,000-yard mark for a season. We should see much more of the same this year from Olsen. With his connection with Cam Newton growing stronger, and his role growing larger, Olsen should be drafted early in the fourth round if not late in the third in standard 12-team leagues.

Cincinnati Bengals ThumbnailTyler Eifert (TE, CIN) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Zach – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target Towards End of Mid Rounds CURRENT ADP: Overall #178 / TE #22 ANALYSIS: Eifert is a guy I’ve talked about before, but he is worth writing about again. Despite the fact that I have seen some buzz around Eifert in the fantasy community and that his Fantasy Pros consensus rank is TE11, Eifert’s ADP remains surprisingly late. Eifert is extremely athletic; see for yourself on Player Profiler. He was supposed to be a big part of the Bengals offense last season and while injury got in the way, that plan is in place once again for 2015. Eifert picked up right where he left off last year. Before dislocating his elbow late in the first quarter of the first game in 2014, Eifert already had three catches for 37 yards. In the first preseason game of ‘15, Eifert had two catches for 30 yards on just 15 snaps. It’s obviously a very small sample size but it’s a very promising sign that Eifert is set to deliver on the expectations many have had for him since he was drafted. As I wrote previously about Eifert, I expect 90+ targets for him. This number was based on the fact that the less talented receiver Jermaine Gresham saw 78 targets last year and Gresham and Eifert combined for 119 in 2013 in a more pass happy offense where the receivers were healthy. With the health of the Bengals receivers back again and Eifert uncontested as the primary tight end, 90 targets seems like a safe bet. That would have put him in the top ten targeted tight ends last season. Given Eifert’s athleticism and the pass catching ability he has flashed in limited action thus far in his career, I’m willing to bet that leads to a breakout season. That makes him a fantastic bargain. If you wait at TE, Eifert should be the number one guy you target.

Green Bay Packers ThumbnailRichard Rodgers (TE, GB) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Zach – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE:  Target In Last Rounds or as Waiver Pickup CURRENT ADP: Overall #298 / TE #29 ANALYSIS: I was pretty bummed when Jordy Nelson went down with a torn ACL. He is a fantastically productive receiver that was Aaron Rodgers’s favorite red zone target. With a QB as talented as Rodgers though, nearly all of the production is likely to get absorbed by other receivers. Davante Adams and Jeff Janis are receiving most of the hype so very little attention is going to another potential benefactor, tight end Richard Rodgers. The second-year tight end saw a decent amount of playing time last year as the second tight end behind Andrew Quarless. Rodgers started to get some attention in the offense down the stretch, receiving more targets than Quarless over the final seven games including playoffs. It’s not just that he saw more targets, but he was also more efficient, recording a better catch rate and getting two touchdowns to Quarless’ one during that span. Rodgers is expected to be the top tight end this year and could actually cut into some of Adams’ targets. Adams was incredibly inefficient down the stretch. In the second half, and during the playoffs, Davante Adams recorded an abysmal 51.2% catch rate. That was lower than any other Packers WR or TE that saw at least 10 targets during that span by 14%. Meanwhile Richard Rodgers’ catch rate was 75%. Aaron Rodgers took notice and even prior to the Jordy injury, he had talked up the tight end as a red zone threat. In one of the best offenses in the game, I’d rather spend a late round pick on this guy than watch him become a TE1 for another team. Davante Adams and Jeff Janis may still get most of Jordy’s targets, but in the red zone don’t be shocked if it’s Richard Rodgers grabbing the touchdowns.

Buffalo Bills ThumbnailCharles Clay (TE, BUF) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Joe Sorensen – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target as a low-end TE2. CURRENT ADP: 176 STD, 205 PPR ANALYSIS: Rex Ryan, the head coach for the Buffalo Bills, has already made a name for himself in the league as a coach that likes to run the ball. With the likes of Lesean McCoy, Fred Jackson, Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown, the Bills will be running a lot. But, with quarterbacks like Matt Cassell, Tyrod Taylor and E.J. Manuel, the team is going to need a reliable short option to throw to. Enter Charles Clay. With any one of these quarterbacks, the team may have to rely on the middle of the field more often. This is the area of the field where Clay made a name for himself as a member of the Miami Dolphins and this is an area where he should be most effective as a member of the Buffalo Bills. Two years ago, after a position change to tight end, Clay finished with the seventh-most points for a tight end, ahead of big names like Greg Olsen, Antonio Gates and Martellus Bennett. He finished that season with 69 receptions for 759 yards and six TDs. He even added a rushing TD. This year, Clay joins a team where Fred Jackson led the team with 66 receptions and Watkins led the team with 982 receiving yards and six TDs. This is not to say that Clay will lead the team in each of these categories, but it would be fair to expect him to be second on the team in each of them. Watkins, the former fourth-overall pick, should eat up a lot of target and big plays on the outside, while Clay will do his work in the middle of the field, something the team has lacked the past few seasons. Expect him to reach low-TE1, high-TE2 numbers, probably around 60 catches for 700 yards and five TDs.

Chicago Bears ThumbnailEddie Royal (WR, CHI) – Waiver Wire Analysis

Published by: Evan – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Add in 10+ Team PPR Leagues OWNED IN: 57% of Fleaflicker Leagues ANALYSIS: Without Kevin White this week, Eddie Royal becomes the clear #3 option in the Bears passing attack (he may already have been) behind Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett. In a game where points are likely to be plenty, I’m willing to bet on Royal contributing significantly this week. Royal should see plenty of time in the slot going against rookie Damarious Randall, or fringe player Demetri Goodson, matchups fantasy owners should be exploiting. He’s also back with his best bud Jay Cutler. The only season Royal and Cutler played together (his rookie year), Royal went 91-980-5. Even though the Bears could be in for another rough year, Eddie Royal should be a nice bright spot for them. He has WR2 potential in this great matchup, especially in PPR leagues, and should be added off the waiver wire if he’s still available.

New Orleans Saints ThumbnailBrandon Coleman (WR, NO) – Waiver Wire Analysis

Published by: Evan – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Stash in 12+ Team Leagues OWNED IN: 22% of Fleaflicker Leagues ANALYSIS: I’m more-so buying Coleman for his situation rather than his hype as a player. Coleman went undrafted this past year, but was scooped up by one of the most intriguing passing offenses in the NFL, the Saints. They then shippedJimmy Graham and Kenny Stills out of town, and put Nick Toon on IR. Marques Colston also appears to have lost his starting spot, and C.J. Spiller’s status is somewhat murky. Honestly, this offseason was a dream for Coleman, and he’s now in the driver’s seat to become the Saints #2 option in the passing game outside of Brandin Cooks. Coleman was a decent prospect out of college, and the reason he went undrafted was likely for health reasons. He has the size and speed to succeed in this league, and his last preseason game showed that. I’d be willing to let Coleman be my last bench spot as he could make for a WR3 material. If he’s sitting out there on your waiver wire, you should consider this wide receivers to your team. The upside is there.

Jacksonville Jaguars ThumbnailAllen Hurns (WR, JAX) – Waiver Wire Analysis

Published by: Joe Sorensen – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Stash in 14+ Team PPR Leagues OWNED IN: 18% of Fleaflicker Leagues ANALYSIS: Does anyone else remember how last season started for the Jacksonville Jaguars? They pushed the Philadelphia Eagles to the limit in the opener behind the play of Hurns. In his first career game, the former Miami Hurricane blew up for  110 yards and two TDs on four catches. This production came against Philadelphia, which is supposed to be one of the better defenses in the league Fast forward to this season opener and the Jags are set to play the Carolina Panthers. If he was a running back, I would say bench him. But, since he’s a wideout I say play him if you need him. Carolina’s secondary is questionable at times and Hurns’ speed may be able to do some damage. Additionally, Hurns will benefit from both Marqise Lee and Julius Thomas being sidelined with injuries to start the season. Both of them would normally see a lot of targets, but with both out we can expect Hurns and Allen Robinson to do most of the work on the outside.

St Louis Rams ThumbnailBrian Quick (WR, STL) – Waiver Wire Analysis

Published by: Evan – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Stash in 12+ Team Leagues OWNED IN: 27% of Fleaflicker Leagues ANALYSIS: Quick has an awful matchup this week against Richard Sherman, so he’ definitely not someone you want in your starting lineup for Week 1. However, there’s not many more receivers with his type of upside laying on the waiver wire. While his schedule is tough for the most part, he has a few very easy matchups throughout the year that fantasy owners should be looking to exploit. Nick Foles has proven to be a reliable quarterback for providing good fantasy numbers to his receivers, and Quick is one of the few weapons St. Louis has on the outside. I’m willing to bet Quick falls into the mid WR3 range by the end of this year, as long as his shoulder cooperates. At only 28% owned, Quick is still being overlooked in drafts and by fantasy owners. He’s someone to add off the waiver wire for additional wide receiver upside and depth.

Cincinnati Bengals ThumbnailMarvin Jones (WR, CIN) – Waiver Wire Pickups

Published by: Evan – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues OWNED IN: 41% of Fleaflicker Leagues ANALYSIS: Marvin Jones missed all of last year with injuries, but offseason reports have been promising, and he was able to expectedly beat out Mohamed Sanu this preseason for the #2 role on the outside. Jones absolutely flourished with the Bengals in his sophomore season, scoring 10 touchdowns, most of them coming in a huge six game stretch. While he’s obviously behind A.J. Green, and likely Tyler Eifert in targets, but he should still solidify a role as a deep threat for a team that needs to keep the field stretched for their running game. Oakland is a tough matchup, where he’ll face off against T.J. Carrie, but it’s nothing to avoid. I don’t expect heavy targets volume for Jones, but Dalton should look his way 3-5 times, and there’s few receivers available on the waiver wire that will see more deep looks than him. I’d consider adding him to your roster if you’re looking for a waiver wire flyer or some additional WR depth.

San Diego Chargers ThumbnailStevie Johnson (WR, SD) – Waiver Wire Pickups

Published by: Evan – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues OWNED IN: 42% of Fleaflicker Leagues ANALYSIS: Ladarius Green may miss this week with a concussion. That leaves Malcom Floyd, Keenan Allen and Stevie Johnson as the only legitimate weapons for Rivers on the outside. While they don’t have an ideal matchup against the Lions very underrated secondary, I’m willing to buy the Stevie Johnson hype as a potential WR3 for teams desperate for one this week. Johnson became a ghost in San Francisco last year, however I’m expecting a slight bounce back in San Diego barring injury with a much more proven offense around him. On occasion, Johnson has even shown to be somewhat “matchup proof” in years past, having decent games against Darrelle Revis on multiple occasions. With an unproven rushing attack, it’s likely that San Diego looks to air the ball out possibly 40 times in what could become a high scoring game, and Johnson could see 6-10 of those targets come his way. If he’s still available on your league’s waiver wire, consider adding him to your roster.

Pittsburgh Steelers ThumbnailMarkus Wheaton (WR, PIT) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Uncle Leo – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Late Rounds for WR3 Upside in PPR CURRENT ADP: 169 STD, 128 PPR ANALYSIS: Even with an injury to their center Maurkice Pouncey, and early season suspensions to Le’Veon Bell and Martavis Bryant, the Steelers are expected to be a high-powered and pass-heavy offense this year led by Ben Roethlisberger. With the news that Bryant will be suspended for the first four games of the NFL season for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy, Wheaton will fill-in as the second wide receiver on the team behind Antonio Brown. This immediately vaults him into fantasy football relevance, and a sneaky PPR value pick / sleeper for your teams. The Steelers, and the media, have been hyping up Wheaton as a legit breakout candidate this preseason, and now he will have four weeks to show the world what he can do. He is certainly no slam dunk, but in PPR leagues he is a must-draft target and stash (at least for the start of the season). Currently he has a PPR ADP of 130 (or the 51st wide receiver being drafted), and is only 56% owned. Stash him at the end of your drafts, or off the waiver wire, and see how this all plays out.

New York Giants ThumbnailRueben Randle (WR, NYG) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Uncle Leo – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Late Rounds for WR3 Upside in PPR CURRENT ADP: 195 STD, 165 PPR ANALYSIS: Eli Manning will have a plethora of weapons at his disposal this season, with the likes of Odell Beckham, Victor Cruz, Rashad Jennings, Shane Vereen and Larry Donnell. But let’s not forget about Rueben Randle, who is currently the second wide receiver on their depth chart, and had a solid season last year in PPR leagues. While his production decreased over the second half of the season, he racked up between seven and 15 targets for a stretch of nine games last season. He also finished the year strong with six and 13 targets over his last two games. Clearly Manning has heavily targeted and trusted Randle in the past, so we may be seeing more of the same this year especially with all the injury uncertainty around Cruz right now. Currently Randle’s PPR ADP is 167 (or the 63rd wide receiver being drafted), and he is only 37% owned. This makes for a great draft sleeper target in PPR leagues, and a great waiver wire add if your league has already drafted. Get on it.

Tennessee TitansKendall Wright (WR, TEN) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Zach – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 11- 13 Current ADP: 123 STD, 106 PPR ANALYSIS: Even with sub-par quarterback play from Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jake Locker, Zach Mettenberger and Charlie Whitehurst, Kendall Wright still managed to put up 1,079 and 715 yards in his second and third seasons, respectively. With Mettenberger, Wright was on pace for over 1,000 yards in a full season, and Marcus Mariota should be an upgrade at quarterback. In the third game of the preseason. Wright accounted for 60 of Mariota’s 99 total yards. If the two of them can develop some chemistry, Wright can be a solid WR3 at a cheap price.

Miami Dolphins ThumbnailDeVante Parker (WR, MIA) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Zach – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 12-14 Current ADP: 149 STD, 117 PPR ANALYSIS: DeVante Parker has a history of injuries, but he should still debut early in the season. His size and speed, combined with his college production — 140 yards per game over six games as a senior — make him a solid weapon. Should Ryan Tannehill take another step forward this year, Parker could be a star, despite the pass-catching talent around him. A player with Parker’s potential is a steal late in the draft.

Arizona Cardinals ThumbnailLarry Fitzgerald (WR, ARI) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Zach – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 8-10 Current ADP: 94 STD, 87 PPR ANALYSIS: Larry Fitzgerald understandably struggled with Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley at quarterback last season. However, in the six starts made by Carson Palmer, Fitzgerald managed five catches for 80 yards and two touchdowns. Fitzgerald is not what he used to be, but he should still finish firmly in WR2 territory with a healhy Palmer.

Kansas City Chiefs ThumbnailKnile Davis (RB, KC) – Waiver Wire Analysis

Published by: Jake Bogardus – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Stash in All Leagues OWNED IN: 57% of Fleaflicker Leagues ANALYSIS: Only Ryan Mathews rivals Davis as a handcuff for the upcoming season, and that has more to do with Chip Kelly’s system than Mathews’ talent. In the two games that Jamaal Charles missed (or missed significant time) last season, Davis average 119 total yards per game and scored 3 total touchdowns. Davis is a talented runner and almost a guarantee to finish as a top-12 RB if Charles weren’t in the picture. The Chiefs were ranked as the #2 run blocking team last season by ProFootballFocus, and as long as Andy Reid sticks to the run, I see Davis as a must-own running back.

St Louis Rams ThumbnailBenny Cunningham (RB, STL) – Waiver Wire Pickups

Published by: Joe Sorensen – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Matchup Stream in 14+ Team Leagues OWNED IN: 10% of Fleaflicker Leagues ANALYSIS: To start the season, the St. Louis Rams are home against the punishing defense of the Seattle Seahawks. At first glance, this may not seem like a good matchup for Cunningham, going against one of the top defenses in the league. However, Cunningham is going to get plenty of snaps this week. The team’s first-round pick, Todd Gurley, is still sidelined since he tore his ACL last season at the University of Georgia and second-string back Tre Mason has an injured hamstring. Coach Jeff Fisher has already announced that Mason is more than likely going to be a game-time decision, but if he doesn’t practice this week, he can almost be ruled out before Sunday, meaning Cunningham will get the start. In 16 games last year, Cunningham ran for roughly 250 yards and caught 45 passes for another 350 yards. He also found the endzone four times. These numbers were almost strictly as a third-down and situational back. In a PPR league, there is no reason to believe that he is not going to bring in a minimum of four passes if he gets the start. New quarterback Nick Foles is known to throw the ball deep, but he may not have the opportunity to against the “Legion of Boom.” He may be forced to check the ball down a lot.

Tennessee TitansTerrance West (RB, TEN) – Waiver Wire Analysis

Published by: Jake Bogardus – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Stash in 12+ Team Leagues OWNED IN: 50% of Fleaflicker Leagues ANALYSIS: West isn’t an especially talented running back, averaging just 3.9 yards per carry behind a very good run blocking Cleveland Browns offensive line. Once again though, this is about opportunity. Titans starting running back, sophomore Bishop Sankey, was equally as mediocre last season with a pedestrian 3.7 yards per carry. The Titans were pushing hard for rookie David Cobb to split time in the backfield with Sankey before he was put on injured reserve with a calf injury, at which point they immediately went out and traded for West. I have to imagine West will get his chance at some point this year. He’s a solid waiver wire stash heading into Week 1 if you’re looking to add some depth to your running backs.

New Orleans Saints ThumbnailKhiry Robinson (RB, NO) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Jake Bogardus – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Later Rounds for RB Depth / RB3 Upside CURRENT ADP: 227 STD, 224 PPR ANALYSIS: Saints lead-back Mark Ingram is highly regarded by draft experts and is being taken as a top-15 RB based off of his stretch run in 2014. Listen, Ingram had a decent 10 game stretch to finish the season where he averaged 91 total yards and scored 6 total touchdowns. However, the TDs drove Ingram’s value last season. He still only averaged 4.2 yards per carry over that 10 game period. Additionally, he’s been hurt every season of his career, playing in just 50 of 64 potential games, most of that being before he was scheduled to get a heavy workload. There has also been a lot of talk about C.J. Spiller in the offseason and rightfully so. Spiller has the talent to be a top-10 RB as we saw him do in Buffalo. He’s inheriting the Reggie Bush / Darren Sproles role in the New Orleans which has been fruitful in the past. Similar to Ingram though, Spiller is no guarantee to stay on the field, playing just 9 games last season and being a week to week headache in the past. Ultimately, Robinson should fill in for either one of these guys if they were to get hurt. The running back position is all about opportunity and I expect that Robinson will not only get that chance at some point, but he’ll also be very good when that opportunity arises. If you’re still drafting, he can be had for pennies on the dollar at the end of your draft, with a current ADP of 227 (or the 67th running back being drafted).

Jacksonville Jaguars ThumbnailDenard Robinson (RB, JAX) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Bill Dubiel – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Later Rounds for FLEX Upside CURRENT ADP: 206 STD, 176 PPR ANALYSIS: “Shoelace” Robinson was positively electric from Weeks 7-10 in 2014, when he took over the starting job from the woefully ineffective Toby Gerhart. He’ll likely open the season behind rookie T.J. Yeldon, who should handle the first and second-down work early on (although there are rumors it may be Robinson who starts Week 1). Robinson is an outstanding runner, especially in the open field, where his acceleration is nearly unmatched. During the aforementioned stretch where Robinson started before suffering a season-ending mid-ankle sprain, he put up some incredible numbers. In just four weeks, he racked up 389 yards and four rushing touchdowns on just 72 carries-a 5.4 YPC clip. He’s also a talented pass-catcher, and again he’s most dangerous when he has room to run. Even if Yeldon does start as the primary rusher, Robinson will most definitely have a role on his own, and could usurp the rookie if things don’t pan out early on. With a current ADP of 206, Robinson can be had for penny on the dollar. He’s no slam dunk, but you can grab him at the end of your draft and see how the situation plays out.

Buffalo Bills ThumbnailKarlos Williams (RB, BUF) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Bill Dubiel – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Later Rounds for FLEX Upside CURRENT ADP: 290 STD, 277 PPR ANALYSIS: With Fred Jackson now out of the picture, Karlos Williams should be the clear backup to LeSean McCoy in Buffalo. He was truly impressing in the preseason until he was forced to undergo a mysterious emergency surgery, the details of which are still unknown. It can’t have been very serious, as the Bills still anticipate he’ll be ready for Week 1. I love the “cut of his jib”, to borrow a phrase from ESPN’s senior fantasy analyst Matthew Berry–he’s a fantastic downhill runner, often punishing those who try to tackle him. He’s perfectly capable in the passing game as well, which will be very useful with mobile Tyrod Taylor as the starting quarterbacks. If LeSean McCoy were to go down, Williams and Taylor could be a positively devastating combo on play action, the option, and swing passes. He’s the clear handcuff to Shady, and I think it’s possible he carves out enough of a role to get some bye-week flex consideration on his own. He may get extra work early in the season until McCoy is confidently healthy, which makes him a nice stash at the end of your drafts. With his current ADP at 277, he costs practically nothing in most leagues, and has the chance to return way more than that for your fantasy football teams.

Washington Redskins ThumbnailMatt Jones (RB, WAS) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Uncle Leo – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Later Round for FLEX/RB2 Upside in PPR CURRENT ADP: 189 STD, 149 PPR ANALYSIS: Okay, so here at RotoBaller we’ve written about Matt Jones ad nauseam, with an especially strong man-crush by lead NFL editor Edward Gorelik. Well, here we are again discussing Jones, and there’s a good reason for that. Currently he has a PPR league ADP of 158 (or the 54th running back being drafted), and is only owned in 18% of leagues that have drafted. Simply put, that’s just way too low. It looks like the Redskins are going to be a bad football team this year, and playing from behind a lot. When that happens, Alfred Morris will come off the field and Matt Jones will enter as the pass-catching running back, getting lots of targets and check-downs along the way from Kirk Cousins or Robert Griffin. That’s what we call sneaky PPR upside, with a chance to become PPR gold. Even without this playing-from-behind scenario, the Redskins are in love with Matt Jones as a runner, and he should be spelling Morris with some carries along the way. Bundle that all together, and Matt Jones is a must own in PPR leagues. If you haven’t drafted yet, be sure to grab him at the end of your drafts. If you’re already drafted and he’s just sitting out there on your league’s waiver wire, add him immediately. Do it now.

Philadelphia Eagles ThumbnailDarren Sproles (RB, PHI) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Uncle Leo – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Later Rounds for FLEX Upside in PPR CURRENT ADP: 128 STD, 120 PPR ANALYSIS: I think we all know what Darren Sproles brings to the table for fantasy football purposes. The boom-or-bust running back can be a PPR monster one week, and get very few snaps another week bringing disappointment. But let’s not forget that he plays for arguable the best offense in football (led by Sam Bradford, DeMarco Murray,Ryan Mathews, Jordan Matthews and company), with the best offensive minds calling the shots. The Eagles have already stated that they want Sproles more involved in the offense, and that’s exactly what we like to hear when searching for PPR sleepers. In addition to getting targets out of the backfield, the Eagles have been working on getting Sproles involved as a wide receiver as well. It remains to be seen how he will be utilized, and how consistent he will be week-to-week – but this looks like a situation where a “cheap” player can outperform their draft day cost. Currently Sproles has a PPR ADP of 119 (or the 44th running back being drafted), and is only 38% owned in fantasy leagues. Stash the human swiss army knife on your PPR roster, and keep your fingers crossed for a sneaky PPR stud.

San Francisco 49ers ThumbnailReggie Bush (RB, SF) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Uncle Leo – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Later Rounds for FLEX / RB2 Upside in PPR CURRENT ADP: 134 STD, 127 PPR ANALYSIS: We have a similar situation here with Reggie Bush, although this may not be as young and sexy as the Matt Jones scenario. Everyone expects the 49ers to be pretty bad this year, and with that the 49ers may find themselves down a lot and playing catch-up throughout their games. Bush has always excelled as a pass-catching back, and may find himself on the field more than some expect this season getting check-downs from Colin Kaepernick. Bush has always been a great talent, and has produced for fantasy football owners in the past, whereas Carlos Hyde has never “done it” yet. Hyde may be a solid running back this year, but he may not. In my book, it’s certainly not a slam dunk. To quickly compare, Hyde has a PPR ADP of 38 (or the 19th running back drafted), while Bush is being overlooked with a PPR ADP of 127 (or the 47th running back being drafted) and only 46% owned. If you’re in a PPR league, get Bush on your roster and see how this all plays out over the first few weeks of the fantasy football season.

New York Jets ThumbnailChris Ivory (RB, NYJ) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Jose Ortiz

BALLER MOVE: Target Starting in Seventh Round CURRENT ADP: Overall #79, RB #29 ANALYSIS: Over the last two seasons, it could be argued that Chris Ivory was the most reliable offensive weapon for the New York Jets. Ivory averaged a very respectable 4.35 YPC over the last two years and topped 800 yards in both seasons. Heading into 2015, the Jets have upgraded their receiving corps with the addition of Brandon Marshall, and Ivory appears to be leading a backfield that also features an injured Stevan Ridley, an underachieving Bilal Powell and an unclear role for Zac Stacy. Despite the clutter, Ivory still has the significant edge as he’s a proven, durable pass-catching threat out of the backfield, and figures to get at least 200 carries this season. Another thing to remember is that Geno Smith is out for a while, and the Jets may focus on the run more than the pass. As the 29th running back coming off of the board in the seventh round or later, you could do a lot worse than Ivory. I expect him to finish as a Top 20 rusher this season so grabbing in the later rounds can be a steal. After a strong preseason though, some owners may be aware of this so don’t wait too long.

New York Giants ThumbnailRashad Jennings (RB, NYG) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Jose Ortiz

BALLER MOVE: Target In Eighth Round CURRENT ADP: Overall #84, RB #31 ANALYSIS: On the surface, it might appear that Jennings is too old, too brittle and in a backfield that’s too crowded to trust him. Jennings is 30, a supposed age of decline for running backs, has never played 16 games in a season and will have to compete with second year back Andre Williams and newly signed free agent Shane Vereen. However, Williams was a disappointment during his rookie season, averaging 3.3 yards per carry and showing off his hands of stone with just 18 receptions on 37 targets. Vereen has never been more than a receiving back, with the 96 carries he got a year ago in New England being a career high. While Jennings certainly did not set the fantasy football world on fire last year, he averaged more yards per carry and was a bigger factor in the passing game than Williams. He is also a much more reliable down-to-down ball carrier than Vereen has proven to be. In 2015, Vereen will likely be the lead receiving back in New York, but there’s no reason to believe that Jennings won’t get the bulk of the carries and flirt with 200 totes. Additionally, he proved to be a very capable receiver last year, actually gaining more yards per catch than Vereen. The big question with Jennings, as it is with all running backs, is health. If Jennings can stay healthy, there’s no reason that he can’t be a Top 25 back with Top 10 flashes from time to time. You can’t ask for more than that from an eighth round selection.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers ThumbnailDoug Martin (RB, TB) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Jose Ortiz

BALLER MOVE: Add In Later Rounds CURRENT ADP: Overall #88, RB #34 ANALYSIS: When the Muscle Hamster burst onto the scene during his rookie campaign with 1,926 total yards and 12 TDs, it seemed that he was on his way to being one of the best backs in the game. But the last two seasons have been unkind to Doug Martin and his fantasy owners, with him missing 16 games and averaging 3.6 yards per carry during that span. As a result, his fantasy stock has plummeted. Entering the 2015 season, Martin is finally healthy and has been named the starting running back for the Buccaneers. All reports indicate that the fourth year runner looks fantastic as well. The presence of second-year back Charles Sims shouldn’t scare anyone off either, after he averaged an underwhelming 2.8 yards per carry in 2014. Bobby Rainey has been decent in flashes, but has been mostly mediocre throughout his time in Tampa. Martin is the only running back on the team who has proven he can be a Top 5 type producer. He is going late in the eighth round and presents almost no risk. Go for the homerun by drafting Martin. At worst, you drop him for a replacement – at best, you get a near return to rookie form and get a steal near the end of the draft.

New Orleans Saints ThumbnailC.J. Spiller (RB, NO) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Frankie Soler – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 5-7 Current ADP: 76 STD, 55 PPR ANALYSIS: The Saints have always used multiple running backs in a variety of ways. This year, the two backs who will be featured are Mark Ingram and C.J. Spiller With Ingram the more traditional runner, Spiller will likely assume the pass-catching role. In 2014, Pierre Thomas and Travaris Cadet, both of whom are no longer with the team, combined for 106 targets– one more than top fantasy back Le’Veon Bell. Assuming he is healthy, Spiller as a high-end RB2 in a PPR league.

Arizona Cardinals ThumbnailAndre Ellington (RB, ARI) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Frankie Soler – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 4-5 Current ADP: 46 STD, 37 PPR ANALYSIS: Andre Ellington is entrenched as the number one back for the Cardinals, so the carries — as well as the targets — will be there. His 46 receptions in 2014 ranks as the sixth most amongst running backs last season, despite coming in just 12 games. As long as Ellington and quarterback Carson Palmer can stay healthy, Ellington can be a solid mid-level RB2 in PPR leagues.

Kansas City Chiefs ThumbnailAlex Smith (QB, KC) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Zach – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Later Rounds as 2nd QB / Matchup Streamer CURRENT ADP: 162 STD, 211 PPR ANALYSIS: The new and improved Chiefs offense gives Alex Smith a legitimate WR1 in Jeremy Maclin, plus an emerging star receiver and tight end in Travis Kelce. They also have potential impact players in WRs Albert Wilson and Chris Conley. For these reasons alone, Alex Smith can be considered as an “undervalued” fantasy football QB option on draft day, especially for those in deeper leagues. Smith looked pretty strong down the stretch last year, averaging over 15 fantasy points a game in his final five games played (DNP Week 17). I expect that to continue with the addition of Maclin. Maybe the most appeal Smith has to offer is his relative safety. He almost never throws interceptions, having finished in the top three in INT% three of the past four years. I do expect a little more aggression from the Chiefs offense this year, which may lead to a slightly higher chance for interceptions, but Smith is still extremely safe. The Texans have a good defense, so Smith’s ceiling is limited in Week 1, but he should still be able to put up a respectable game this week. For those who haven’t drafted yet, he’s a solid option for two-QB league formats, or to target at the end of your one-QB drafts as a second QB and matchup streamer.

Cincinnati Bengals ThumbnailAndy Dalton (QB, CIN) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Zach – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Later Rounds for QB1 Upside / Matchup Streamer CURRENT ADP: 188 STD, 168 PPR ANALYSIS: Andy Dalton is probably my favorite streaming QB for Week 1. He is also being drafted very late, but has the upside to return more production that his cost. Dalton struggled tremendously in his preseason Week 2 game against the Buccaneers in primetime, however he finished strong in the week 3 game going a perfect 6/6 passing on his lone drive and finishing it by running the ball in himself. In the regular season I expect a lot more of the latter. Dalton had a down year in 2014, but he was missing several key receivers and with everyone healthy in 2015 it should show up on the field. The Raiders have a formidable front seven with Khalil Mack and company, but I don’t fear the secondary at all. Especially with the Bengals above average offensive line, Dalton should have enough time to find an open man all day long. Dalton may struggle against better defenses, but it should be smooth sailing in Week 1. He has only faced the Raiders one time back in 2012 in which he threw for three touchdowns and no interceptions in that game. I predict Dalton finishes as a QB1 this week, which is pretty good for someone who is barely being drafted and is still out there in so many leagues!

Chicago Bears ThumbnailJay Cutler (QB, CHI) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Jon Keller – Rotoballer

BALLER MOVE: Target as QB2, Streamer, or QB1 in Deep Leagues CURRENT ADP: 138 STD, 163 PPR ANALYSIS: Fantasy-wise Jay Cutler is, in a word, boring. He’s not good enough to be elite, but no longer young enough to be a rising star. Cutler is the guy who gets autopicked by someone who forgot to set his draft order. It’s interesting though – Cutler is coming off one of the best fantasy seasons of his career. In 2014 he threw for 3812 yards and 28 TDs. That’s the second highest yardage total and best touchdown total of his career. It’s true that he’s lost the coaching staff who brought him those numbers and yes, he also lost Brandon Marshall. But he’s getting a huge upgrade as wunderkind coordinator Adam Gase takes over the offense in Chicago. And Marshall’s numbers shouldn’t be hard to replace. Marshall only averaged 4.7 receptions and 55.5 yards per game – his worst averages since his rookie season. Free agent acquisition Eddie Royal and first rounder Kevin White (when he’s healthy) should be able to easily replace those numbers. Royal only did slightly worse last year. Cutler offers worse ball security than skinny dipping in piranha infested waters, but in a strangely positive way. He spreads his mistakes out evenly over the course of the season, just like he does his positive plays. He threw two or more INTs in seven games last year but only once did he not throw at least two TDs that same game (he threw only one at Green Bay). What this all adds up to is consistent, reliable points. That’s an ideal situation as a high level QB2 or even a QB1 with a strong team around him. Target him in the late middle rounds.

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 11-13 Current ADP: 125 STD ANALYSIS: Joe Flacco has never surpassed 4,000 yards or thrown for 30 TDs, but he is coming off the best statistical season of his career– 3,986 yards and 27 TDs. With new offensive coordinator Marc Trestman running the show, those numbers should only increase. Under Trestman in 2013, Bears quarterbacks Jay Cutler and Josh McCown combined to lead the second highest-scoring offense in the NFL, finishing fifth overall in passing. The Ravens lost Torrey Smith, but Steve Smith Sr. is still a reliable receiver, and Breshad Perriman, Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown are all young and explosive. Flacco has never missed a game in his career, and he can still throw the deep ball with the best of them. With more designed passing plays, Flacco could put up career numbers and break into the top 10 this season.

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 8-10 Current ADP: 84 STD ANALYSIS: Heading into his 12th season, Eli Manning may be surrounded by the best offensive cast of his career. A healthy Victor Cruz joins Odell Beckham Jr., Rueben Randle and Larry Donnell in the receiving corps, and Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen make up a very solid backfield. After a slow start last season, Manning took off once Beckham burst onto the scene. Manning actually finished with arguably his second best statistical season, tallying 4,410 yards, 30 TDs and 14 INTs. He was the number 10 overall fantasy quarterback in 2014 in standard leagues, despite the slow start and an injured Cruz. With these weapons, Manning could easily post top-five numbers this season, but he is currently ranked as the No. 11 QB. Manning is a better value than several quarterbacks being drafted rounds ahead of him.

Minnesota Vikings ThumbnailTeddy Bridgewater (QB, MIN) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 11-13 Current ADP: 117 STD ANALYSIS: As a rookie, Teddy Bridgewater posted 2,919 passing yards in 13 games and completed 64.4% of his throws. This was on an offense that was missing Adrian Peterson and lacked any consistent play-makers. Bridgewater comes into 2015 with an extra year of experience, a new weapon in speedster Mike Wallace and an invigorated Peterson. Additionally, the potential improvements of young receivers Charles Johnson and Cordarelle Patterson and a healthy Kyle Rudolph at tight end could give Bridgewater plenty to work with. The Vikings also bring in an improved defense that will get the ball back to the offense more often and set Bridgewater up with shorter fields. You can draft him as your backup and watch him turn into trade bait once he starts looking like a top-10 passer. Bridgewater will undoubtedly outperform his ADP this season, and could even reach 3,500 passing yards and 25 touchdowns.

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 14-16 Current ADP: 166 STD ANALYSIS: Jameis Winston was a controversial figure in college, but his talent has never been in question. Winston is surrounded in Tampa Bay by three massive pass-catchers in Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson and Austin Seferian-Jenkins, all of whom should help Winston be efficient in the red zone. The rookie out of Florida State is a solid QB2, especially in two-quarterback leagues.

Arizona Cardinals ThumbnailCarson Palmer (QB, ARI) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 12-14 Current ADP: 140 STD ANALYSIS: In 2013, Carson Palmer racked up 4,274 yards and 24 touchdowns, but his 2014 campaign was cut short by an ACL tear after he put up 1,626 yards and 11 touchdowns over six games. Larry Fitzgerald, John Brown, Michael Floyd, Andre Ellington and David Johnson: Fantasy Football Player News & Analysis” target=”blank” href=”http://www.rotoballer.com/fantasy-football-nfl-news/?player=David+Johnson”>David Johnson make for a nice corps of weapons. A healthy Palmer should be a solid QB2 and a good value late in the draft.

Jacksonville Jaguars ThumbnailBlake Bortles (QB, JAX) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Zach – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Late Rounds of 2QB Leagues CURRENT ADP: Overall #221,  QB #26 ANALYSIS: Blake Bortles has looked like a much improved quarterback this entire preseason, and it was most apparent in week three against the Detroit Lions. He played the majority of the game with his starting receivers (Though Marqise Lee and Julius Thomas were both absent), and really looked like a potential franchise QB. Bortles finished the night with a 69% completion rate and 8.4 yards per attempt. He didn’t throw an interception, he wasn’t sacked, and flashed some mobility running for 38 yards. The one downside was once again Bortles and Allen Robinson weren’t quite on the same page, but Bortles was perfect to Allen Hurns and Rashad Greene who are likely to have prominent roles in the offense. The tight ends also got a lot of action, and Julius Thomas should be a big upgrade over any of them. From what I’ve seen a lot of people are still writing off the Jaguars offense entirely, but I think they can take a big step forward this year. That would make Bortles a good QB2 and a decent streaming quarterback against lesser defenses.

Philadelphia Eagles ThumbnailSam Bradford (QB, PHI) – 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

Published by: Frankie Soler – RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 10-12 Current ADP: 116 STD ANALYSIS: Having only played in a full 16-game season twice, drafting Sam Bradford as your second quarterback is a risk, but can also have huge upside. Under Chip Kelly in 2013, Nick Foles managed to rack up 2,891 yards and 27 touchdowns in just 13 games. Bradford is likely the more talented quarterback, so in a full season, his numbers can eclipse those of Foles. We’ve even seen Mark Sanchez put up serviceable fantasy numbers in this offense. As long as Bradford can stay healthy, he can finish as a top 12 fantasy QB this season.

Dallas Cowboys ThumbnailOne of the most talked about storylines of the off season was whether or not the Dallas Cowboys had a starting running back on their roster. Joseph Randle started training camp the assumed starter, but he never really grabbed a hold of that position, so much so that they brought in former Seattle Seahawk, Christine Michael. It looks like Randle will get the majority of carries in the favorable Week 1 matchup against the Giants, but keep your eye on this situation. There may be a waiver wire pickup in your future. This is a great offensive line, so once a clear starter emerges, that player is an automatic top-20 running back.

Kansas City Chiefs ThumbnailWell, they looked fairly sharp the other night, but can WR Jeremy Maclin help stretch the skill set of his QB, Alex Smith, by encouraging him to stretch the field a little more?  There’s not much that fantasy owners can look to in Smith but Maclin still may be able to put some decent fantasy numbers this year.  It’s a question of how Andy Reid intends to use him and then if Smith can actually make that happen.  But isn’t it great to actually hear the words “receiving touchdown” mentioned in the same sentence as the Kansas City Chiefs again?  We’ll bet Jamaal Charles likes the sound of that.

Jacksonville Jaguars ThumbnailBit of a bummer for all fantasy owners who were rolling the dice on whether or not TE Julius Thomas can stay healthy.  Reports are that he will be undergoing surgery on his injured finger and won’t be back for at least 4-5 weeks….the entire first month of the season.  In his place, the Jacksonville Jaguars will lean on TE’s Marcedes Lewis & Clay Harbor to fill the void. Lewis, veteran though he is, has had a good preseason.  Hopefully, all you Julius Thomas owners can wait the month out without too many losses.  But it does, once again, bring up the consistent concern as to how long it will be before he gets hurt again.
