Week 10 Running Back Waiver Wire Must Adds

Pick these guys up! We partnered with RotoBaller to give you accurate and timely waiver wire adds. In turn, they post our podcast to their site (which is centered around setting your weekly lineups). Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller   Better late than never is the theme for this week. We’ve been pumping up waiver wire running backs for nine weeks now and in recent weeks some of these guys have really delivered. Karlos Williams has been mentioned multiple times this year in this space and went off in week 9. Antonio Andrews is taking over the backfield in Tennessee and was mentioned as far back as week 4 during the Titans’ bye week. And in week 7, we talked about the strange RB dynamic in Green Bay and it turns out James Starks may be the guy to own in that backfield. All three have been delivering, as well as our normal slew of bye week fill-ins that have been up to the task. The good news is, nobody has listened to me yet and these guys are still very much available! Each week, Jake’s article will aim to highlight running backs that you should consider targeting on your league’s waiver wire. I’ve split these players up into three tiers from most desirable to most desperate. Additionally, I’ve included players at the bottom of this list that I would be comfortable cutting as I don’t see them contributing in a major way this season. Cream of the Crop Running Backs for Week 10 Waiver Wire These are running backs that I would add no matter what...

Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller. It’s not too late. Week 8 is in the books and for most leagues that means that we are half way through the season. By no means is it too late to turn a season around and with the myriad of injuries this past week, the waiver wire is just the place to do it. Each week, this article will aim to highlight running backs that you should consider targeting on your league’s waiver wire. Jake has split these players up into three tiers from most desirable to most desperate. Additionally, I’ve included players at the bottom of this list that I would be comfortable cutting as I don’t see them contributing in a major way this season. Cream of the Crop Running Backs for Week 9 Waiver Wire These are running backs that I would add no matter what if they are available on your waiver wire. These players have a chance to be starters and weekly contributors to their NFL teams. DeAngelo Williams (RB, PIT) - 50% owned on Fleaflicker Not much to say here. Le’Veon Bell appears to be out for the season, Big Ben is back running the offense, and DeAngelo was oustanding stepping in for Bell earlier this year. I think Williams is a top-15 back going forward on one of the best offenses in the league. Most importantly, Pittsburgh has proven that...

Below are some waiver wire pickups and sleepers for Week 8 who can have a potential impact for your teams. My (Edward Gorelik) piece won’t cover all waiver wire adds and targets each week, as there are just too many with all the league types out there, but I’ll be highlighting and prioritize the biggest impact players. Additionally, be sure to check out many more great RotoBaller articles and waiver wire analysis pieces at each position throughout the week, including risers/fallers, deeper league sleepers, rankings and more.   Week 8 Quarterback Waiver Wire Pickups Jay Cutler (QB, CHI) 39% Owned on Fleaflicker Jay Cutler is returning from a bye-week, just in time to cover yours. Cutler hasn’t been killing it this year but has been able to put together some high end QB2 performances since returning from injury. This week he’ll face the Vikings defense, one that’s been gashed by big, strong #1 WRs all year long. Alshon Jeffery is looking at a big plus matchup and that means his quarterback is looking at one too. If injuries or byes have you in need- Cutler is still one of those guys who could put up a huge game when things go right. Other Quarterback Options:  OAK QB Derek Carr - 42% owned - Criminally under-owned, Carr’s going to have a rematch against his first ever opponent, the New York Jets. It’s a suffocating defense that’s prone to...

RB Tevin Coleman gets the start, but Devonta Freeman likely to play

Atlanta Falcons’ Devonta Freeman is listed as probable against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, September 14. Tevin Coleman was already named the starter, regardless of Freeman’s condition. This is a cushy matchup and there is a possibility that Coleman could run himself into a sure spot as the starting back. Watch this game. Link to...

RB LeGarrette Blount activated from the suspended list

On Saturday, September 12, LeGarrette Blount came off the suspended list and thereby directly cut into Dion Lewis’ future production. Lewis had a fine Week 1 and certainly can be picked up if you have a hole in your roster, but know that Blount is their main back and Bill Belichick cannot be trusted with your running back fantasy success. What’s better than snagging that big time sleeper hot player off the waiver wire before your league does? Well, not much really.  Each day we will update this list, so be sure to check back to see who we’ve added and read the latest analysis about each player. If you aren’t sure who to drop, we’ll help you decide – just ask us in our chat room.
