RB Tevin Coleman gets the start, but Devonta Freeman likely to play

Atlanta Falcons’ Devonta Freeman is listed as probable against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, September 14. Tevin Coleman was already named the starter, regardless of Freeman’s condition. This is a cushy matchup and there is a possibility that Coleman could run himself into a sure spot as the starting back. Watch this game. Link to...

RB LeGarrette Blount activated from the suspended list

On Saturday, September 12, LeGarrette Blount came off the suspended list and thereby directly cut into Dion Lewis’ future production. Lewis had a fine Week 1 and certainly can be picked up if you have a hole in your roster, but know that Blount is their main back and Bill Belichick cannot be trusted with your running back fantasy success. RB Joseph Randle the likely starter in Week 1

One of the most talked about storylines of the off season was whether or not the Dallas Cowboys had a starting running back on their roster. Joseph Randle started training camp the assumed starter, but he never really grabbed a hold of that position, so much so that they brought in former Seattle Seahawk, Christine Michael. It looks like Randle will get the majority of carries in the favorable Week 1 matchup against the Giants, but keep your eye on this situation. There may be a waiver wire pickup in your future. This is a great offensive line, so once a clear starter emerges, that player is an automatic top-20 running back. Link to...

QB Alex Smith, WR Jeremy Maclin Show Signs Of Improved Pass Attack For KC Chiefs

Well, they looked fairly sharp the other night, but can WR Jeremy Maclin help stretch the skill set of his QB, Alex Smith, by encouraging him to stretch the field a little more?  There’s not much that fantasy owners can look to in Smith but Maclin still may be able to put some decent fantasy numbers this year.  It’s a question of how Andy Reid intends to use him and then if Smith can actually make that happen.  But isn’t it great to actually hear the words “receiving touchdown” mentioned in the same sentence as the Kansas City Chiefs again?  We’ll bet Jamaal Charles likes the sound of that. TE Travis Kelce, Despite Ankle Sprain, Is On Track For The Chiefs Opener

Well, Coach Andy Reid feels good about TE Travis Kelce being able to play in the season opener for the Chiefs.  Fantasy owners should be looking to scoop him up, if they haven’t already.  Lots of positives and signs of good things to come for Kelce last year and it sounds like the ankle sprain isn’t too serious.  Look for him to be more involved weapon in the Chiefs offense this year.
