QB Andy Dalton Leaves Game As A Precautionary Measure

QB Andy Dalton may have dodged a bullet.  On a dive into the end zone for a touchdown, Dalton took a couple hard hits as the Cincinnati Bengals capitalized on their 16-play drive.  But apparently the injury as nothing serious and Coach Marvin Lewis said that taking Dalton out of the game was just “precautionary.” But with Marvin Jones back in action, it would have been nice to see Andy have a little more time on the field to show us how the chemistry is coming together.  If things gel, the Bengals could have a powerhouse offense both in the sky and on the ground.   Link to...

Will TE Dennis Pitta Ever Play For The Ravens (Or Another Team) Again?

Ugh, so sad.  So talented.  Incredible athlete and had massive fantasy potential but, apparently, our grandmother has stronger hips than he does.  Even Coach Harbaugh is saying that Pitta needs to consider his “quality of life” going forward and that he and his family should seriously consider that.  Doesn’t look good.  Neither does Maxx Williams either, though, and the Ravens might have some big problems with their TE situation this year. Atlanta Falcons, WR Julio Jones Have “5 Year Plan”

WR Julio Jones is probably feeling pretty good right now. To the tune of $71.25 million, $47 million guaranteed.  The Falcons star receiver is set for a great year.  Coming off an almost 1600 yard season, look for he and Matty Ice to do more of the same.  The Falcons clearly know what they have in Jones.  Now let’s see if they can build around their show ponies. RB Fred Jackson, Buffalo Bills Part Ways

Well, Rex Ryan wanted to stress how difficult the cut was to make, but cut RB Fred Jackson he did.  This decision is not much of a surprise, however, with the team trending cheaper and younger.  Jackson was simply too old and too highly paid to stay with the team.  Jackson still has a little gas left in the tank, though, and we look forward to seeing him in another role on another NFL team.  We’re more than a little sentimental about the numerous streamroller fantasy season he’s produced for us in the past. Buffalo Bills Say QB Tyrod Taylor Their Man Moving Forward

Rex Ryan has officially announced that Tyrod Taylor will be the starting QB for the Bills in Week 1.  Apparently E.J. Manuel will be the back-up, and some are even saying that veteran Matt Cassel is danger of being cut.  There may be some potential upside with Taylor but we certainly don’t recommend for or even see significant fantasy value here.  WRs Sammy Watkins and Percy Havin may provide some hope for him, but don’t go looking to Taylor in any league.
