Her Fantasy Football Podcast 10.23.14- Week 8 NFL Fantasy Football Match Ups

Every week we go match up by match up and tell you who your must starts, gut calls and bench players are for the game. We can’t cover every player but we should be able to answer those burning questions as to whether or not this is a good match up for one of your questionable players. Let the fun begin. (Garageband had an error so the reverb and echo are out of control and it won’t let us adjust it. Sorry!)...

Week 7 – Atlanta Falcons Fantasy Forecast

Atlanta Falcons (2-4) at Baltimore Ravens (4-2)   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Julio Jones – #4 Ranked WR While Julio did not have a great week last week, 6 points being your worst week yet is still not terrible. The fact of the matter is that Julio is leading the league in targets and also has the most receptions of all wide receivers, so good things have to come from that many looks. It’s science! Haha.   Gut Calls Antone Smith – #25 Ranked RB Antone should be in the starting category but he still is not getting the touches that he should. I think the Falcons are trying to give me a aneurism with the idiotic backfield usage. I am not playing nice about this anymore. Smith is the 10th highest scoring running back and he is a third string guy. He has fewer touches all season long than DeMarco Murray had last week alone against the Seahawks and only has 1 fewer touchdown than DeMarco Murray. I feel like I am taking crazy pills here. The only reason that he isn’t in the starting bucket is due to his minute field time. Luckily he seems to break off for a touchdown each time but he is getting less than 4 touches a game which makes him an impossible must start.   Roddy White – #22 Ranked WR Technically Roddy White should have a big game this week based on his great game, bad game, bad game pattern. Roddy has not seen many targets as of recently but the Ravens give up the 7th most points...

Week 7 – Baltimore Ravens Fantasy Forecast

Atlanta Falcons 2-4 at Baltimore Ravens 4-2 Week 7 – Baltimore Ravens Fantasy Forecast   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em   Joe Flacco – 10th Ranked QB What a fantastic game for Mr. Flacco last week. He threw for over 300 yards and had 5 touchdowns. They wanted to get Torrey involved and they did. I think being able to throw the ball around to so many targets was only a good thing for Flacco. This should be another great matchup for Flacco going up against the Falcons that give up the 16th most fantasy points to Quaterbacks   Steve Smith Sr. – 12th Ranked WR Triple S is the best story in the NFL this season. I just love him. Another great game for Smith against the Buccaneers, with 110 yards and a touchdown. He continues to impress and should be in your lineup against the Falcons.   Justin Forsett – 11th Ranked RB Forsett had his third game in a row in double-digits. He had 111 yards rushing and that is when the Ravens were focused on throwing. He has proven that he is a strong runner and is a Must Start against the Falcons that give up the most points to Running Backs   Justin Tucker – 2nd Ranked K Tucker is the 4th highest kicker in fantasy points. Not only that but Atlanta gives up the 7th most fantasy points to Kickers so play him and feel good about it.   Gut Calls   Torrey Smith – 47th Ranked WR Smith had his best game on the season with 51 yards and 2 touchdowns. With that said, he has only had...

Week 6 – Atlanta Falcons Fantasy Forecast

Atlanta Falcons (2-3) vs Chicago Bears (2-3)   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Notable: Julio Jones Matt Ryan Ryan has not seemed like a standout but he also hasn’t been losing you your games, other than possibly week 2 in which he only score 9 points. Other than that week he scored 30, 23, 19 and 14 points so you can’t hate on him too much. He is still the 4th highest scoring quarterback this year even if it hasn’t looked like it while watching games. Stick with this guy.   Gut Calls Notable: Roddy White Antone Smith He did it again! He only had 1 carry for 2 yards but he had 3 catches for 83 yards and a touchdown. The Falcons have lost their ever-loving minds by not giving this guy more playing time but you shouldn’t make the same mistake. He scored 14 points last week, meaning he has scored double digit points 3 out of 5 weeks making him FLEX gold.   Steven Jackson Jackson had 12 points last week which was his second time this season scoring more than 10 points. He only had 37 rushing yards but he did find the end zone for the second time this year. I don’t love him but I never love him. He didn’t do well against the Bengals Defense and the Bears give up the 13th fewest points.   Bench Warmers Everyone...
