Her Fantasy Football Podcast 11.8.14- Week 10 NFL Fantasy Football Match Ups

Every week we go match up by match up and tell you who your must starts, gut calls and bench players are for the game. We can’t cover every player but we should be able to answer those burning questions as to whether or not this is a good week for one of your questionable players. We were in the midst of traveling to New York so there is no Thursday night game analysis this week but listen to the rest of the match ups for your line-up decisions. Let the fun begin....

Week 9 Waiver Wire Adds: Running Backs Edition

We partnered with RotoBaller to give you accurate and timely Week 9 waiver wire adds, running backs and more. In turn, they post our podcast to their site (which is centered around setting your weekly lineups). Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller, our new partner. In Week 8, some newly emerging running backs cemented themselves as the lead backs on their team.  Others have seen their opportunities increase due to underperformance or injuries. That’s good news for those of you who are in desperate need of a waiver wire running back for Week 9 and beyond, which I imagine is a lot of you. Let’s get rolling on which running backs and potential sleepers that you should be willing to spend some FAAB bucks on in Week 9′s waiver wire.   Fantasy Football Running Backs (RB) – Week 9 Denard Robinson (RB, JAX) – 40% owned on Fleaflicker Well, if you didn’t believe last week, it’s time to believe this week.  Robinson rushed for 106 yards on 18 carries and added a reception for 12 yards. In the first half, he was nearly unstoppable, ripping off big gain after big gain against what is supposed to be a strong Miami front (they have struggled somewhat recently). Despite statements to the contrary from Jaguars staff, Robinson was very clearly ahead of a “healthy” Toby Gerhart, as he should be, and he should see a majority of snaps week in and week out after two solid performances.  Against a Bengals team that’s been well below average against the run this year, look for Robinson to continue his hot stretch.  I’d start him as...

Week 8 – Atlanta Falcons Fantasy Forecast

Atlanta Falcons (2-5) vs Detroit Lions (5-2)    Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em None    Gut Calls Julio Jones and Roddy White – #4 Ranked WR and #31 Ranked WR White had a great game scoring 16 points off 100 yards last week but that was his highest scoring game by far. Julio is listed a questionable and was limited in practice on Wednesday. White has more value is Julio is still touch and go. Julio is a must start is he is given the green light. Either way don’t expect a big game as the Lion’s give up the 3rd fewest points to wide outs.     Bench Warmers All Falcon’s Running Backs Antone Smith is still not being targeted enough. He only had 3 carries for 10 yards and was only targeted twice in the air. He scored a total of 1 point. Jacquizz Rodgers had 0 points off 2 touches for 9 yards. Best of all Steven Jackson had 8 attempts and only got 22 yards for 2 points.   Matt Ryan– #19 Ranked QB The problem is that the Falcons are going up against Detroit how have given up the fewest points to QBs this year. Ryan hasn’t exactly been the picture of consistency so thinking he will do better than most against the Lion’s is not...

Week 8 – Detroit Lions Fantasy Forecast

Detroit Lions (5-2) at Atlanta Falcons (2-5)   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Notable: Joique Bell- #14 Ranked RB and Lion’s Defense- #4 Ranked DEF   Golden Tate – #16 Ranked WR Did we or did we not tell you to not freak out and that Golden Tate would turn it around. Well he turned it around in a big, BIG way. He was the 3rd highest scoring receiver pulling in 21 points. He saw his most catches in a game with 10 and had 154 yards and a touchdown. Megatron being sidelined may be the best thing that could have happened for the Lions in the sense that defenses will not be able to focus solely on Calvin Johnson now that Tate has established himself as a threat.     Gut Calls Corey Fuller – #69 Ranked WR With Calvin Johnson out, Fuller stepped up and scored 10 points off 5 targets, 3 catches for 44 yards and 1 touchdown. He will have virtually no fantasy value to you when Johnson comes back, and will only have value to you while Johnson is out if he finds the end zone. The good news is that he was in for 88% of the snaps so the potential is there is you need a flier.   Matthew Stafford – #15 Ranked QB I didn’t think that we would be in this position but you really need to think twice about playing Stafford unless you are in a 14 team league. The cold, hard facts are that Stafford was the 15th highest scoring QB last week and is the 13th...
