Week 16 – Atlanta Falcons Fantasy Forecast

Atlanta Falcons (5-9) at New Orleans Saints (6-8)   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Julio Jones–  The whole Falcons receiving core is beat up; literally all of them except for Devin Hester. If Jones is playing, you are playing him. *He is active this week   Roddy White–  If White is playing, you are playing him. He was held out of practice on Wednesday so check in to see his status.   Matt Ryan– It should be a good week for Ryan as long as his receivers are able to make it to the game. Lol. He was the 5th highest scoring QB last week and he has a great match up in which the Saints have given up the 4th most points to opposing QBs all season long. The Falcons have something to prove as well and that never hurts.     Gut Calls Harry Douglas–  This is the WR edition is seems. Harry Douglas had a great game with Julio Jones out. He had 10 catches for 131 yards. If Jones is plays than Douglas will be moved back down to the bench.   Steven Jackson–  It was a bit of a rough outing for him last week with only 46 yards off 11 carries, but this week is a much better match up. The Saints give up the 4th most points to running backs and then might very well lean on him with a pretty injured receiving core.     Bench Warmers Devin Hester–  Hester had a great game with a touchdown and 85 yards off 5 catches but this success was due to Jones being...

Week 16 New Orleans Saints Fantasy Forecast

Atlanta Falcons 5-9 at New Orleans Saints 6-8 Atlanta gives up the 13th most points to QBs the absolute most points to RBs tied for 4th most points to WRs tied for 7th fewest points to TEs 7th fewest points to DEFs   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Drew Brees – #4 Ranked QB Last week at Chicago: 27.2 (375 yards passing, 3 TDs, 3 carreis for 2 yards – funny) Great game last week versus a bad defense. He should have another great game versus a bad defense this week. This analysis is solid, except that Brees hasn’t played as well at home… Still, you play him. Mark Ingram – #9 Ranked RB Last week at Chicago: 17 carries for 59 yards and a TD Atlanta gives a ridiculous amount of touchdowns to Running Backs. I do think they will use Pierre Thomas quite a bit this week, but Ingram should get goal line carries and score. That’s what we’ll all bank on because he’s been disappointing as of late/since the other Running Backs came back to the lineup. Kenny Stills – #19 Ranked WR Last week at Chicago: 6.7 points (5 of 7 for 67 yards) Well, we thought he would have a monster game at Chicago, and he didn’t. This week we think he’ll have a monster game versus Atlanta, and he might. Jimmy Graham – #4 Ranked TE Last week at Chicago: 8.7 points – 5 of 7 for 87 yards We got solid production last week, but he certainly has not been the huge difference maker that we thought he would be during the 2014 season. Atlanta...

Week 15 New Orleans Saints Fantasy Forecast

New Orleans Saints 5-8 at Chicago Bears 5-8 Chicago gives up the 2nd most points to QBs 14th most points to RBs 8th most points WRs tied for absolute most points to TEs 11th most points to DEFs   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Drew Brees – #3 Ranked QB Yes, New Orleans looks really bad. And yes, Brees only completed 29 of his 49 pass attempts last week against the Panthers for 235 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Brees was under constant pressure and we keep getting questions about whether or not to start him ever again. Here’s the deal, the Bears are just as bad if not worse. Brees has actually been pretty decent on the road this year so stick with him. Mark Ingram – #12 Ranked RB Probable (shoulder) I don’t know about this. Last week Ingram rushed 10 times for 43 yards. He caught 2 passes for 13 yards. And he lost a fumble. New Orleans isn’t really a committee as much as it is a fantasy wasteland. Chicago gives up the 14th most points to Running Backs and it’s actually where they are the strongest. Kenny Stills – #18 Ranked WR This ranking is based solely on the fact that the Bears give up the 8th most points to Wide Receivers and we’re assuming a Brees comeback and that he has to throw somewhere. His 3 of 4 for 23 yard performance last week certainly isn’t one of the things we considered when making this ranking. We’re hoping he goes back in time to two weeks ago when he caught 5 of 6 for 162...

Week 14 New Orleans Saints Fantasy Forecast

Carolina Panthers 3-8-1 at New Orleans Saints 5-7 Carolina gives up the 9th most points to QBs 10th most points to RBs 9th most points to WRs 12th fewest points to TEs 4th most points to DEFs   Bad versus bad. Bah-humbug. Most important: Jimmy Graham had zero TARGETS last week. Not catches. Targets. Drew Brees is not playing poorly. It’s in your mind. He was the #3 QB in Week 13. He’s consistent. You just wish he had more “huge” games. That’s understandable, but you’re still in a better place having him. Clearly, Sean Payton is a Her Fantasy Football fan and he listened to our plead, STOP THE COMMITTEE – MARK INGRAM WON THE JOB! Last week Ingram carried the ball 23 times for 122 yards. No touchdowns, but still, we should all feel encouraged by those numbers. Pierre Thomas only carried the ball three times for 21 yards and caught two passes for 16 yards. You can’t start him. Kenny Stills: sure. Two nice weeks in a row. Versus Baltimore he caught eight of nine passes for 98 yards and then last week at Pittsburgh he caught five of six passes for 162 yards and one touchdown. He has skills, speed, and I liked him last year. But the last time that I told you to start a Saints Wide Receiver it was Brandin Cooks, under similar circumstances, and then he blew it. I’m shy. Carolina gives up the 9th most points to Wide Receivers, so go with Stills if you need upside. I still won’t encourage you to start Colston. Sorry. He’s dropsy and Stills is still available in 60% of...
