Manuel has been ruled OUT. Do not play him. Thaddeus Lewis will start on Sunday.

Fred Jackson

Don’t be fooled by the 14 fantasy points Jackson put up against the Dolphins the last time they played. Spiller left that game with an injury and Jackson had all those carries to himself. He has scored in the double digits only once in his last six games. It’s the playoffs and you want to put your best lineup forward and chances are that doesn’t include Jackson this week.

Stevie Johnson

#43 Ranked WR

More than likely Johnson will be out this week due to the sudden death of his mother. Do not leave him on your roster. Bench Him!

The RBs that put up big numbers against the Jaguars Defense this year are the ones who catch the ball out of the backfield. This actually means good things for both Jackson and Spiller, but for owners who were in the playoff race and watched Jackson put up 3.8 fantasy points it’ll be hard to start him this week. His numbers have gone south for the winter ever since Week 9.

C.J. Spiller

#17 Ranked RB

He ran for 24 yards and caught one pass for another 26 yards last week. Spiller is just an up and down player. Some weeks he will score you 15 or 20 fantasy points and other weeks it could 2 or 4 points. It depends on your situation and your willingness to risk it, but with the Jaguars Defense heating up it’s going to be tough to start him.

Bench Warmers

EJ Manuel

#25 Ranked QB

EJ Manuel threw for 184 yards, no TDs and four INTs against the Tampa Bay Defense last Sunday. The weather was beautiful. The Jaguars Defense is pretty fiesty and Manuel has no busy in any starting fantasy lineup. From hero to zero, BENCH HIM.

Stevie Johnson

#30 Ranked WR

Johnson caught five passes for 67 yards against Tampa Bay. He’s averaging about four fantasy points per game over the last six weeks. He is a Must Start only in 64 team leagues and since those don’t exist, Bench Him.

EJ put up another consistent performance against the Falcons last week in Buffalo. Throwing for a TD and rushing for another, Manuel scored 18.7 fantasy points. This week Manuel gets the Tampa Bay Defense, which gives up the 4^th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. If you are in a deep league and need a QB, go with Manuel again this week.

C.J. Spiller

#35 Ranked RB

Coming off an impressive game against the Falcons where he rushed for 149 yards and scored a TD, Spiller draws a Tampa Bay Defense that gives up the 8^th fewest points to fantasy RBs. Spiller shows up in Gut Calls because he appeared to injure his ankle while running all over the Falcons. Injury plus a tough defense makes Spiller a risky option in Week 14.

Fred Jackson

#26 Ranked RB

Jackson is coming off a 19.8 fantasy point performance where he rushed for 42 yards with a TD and had 36 receiving yards plus a receiving TD. Jackson won’t play much of a role actually rushing the ball against one of the leagues better rushing defenses, but he could have a nice game catching the ball out of the backfield. Reggie Bush, LeSean McCoy and Marshawn Lynch all had success catching the ball out of the backfield against the Bucs.

Johnson caught five passes for 55 yards and was a complete non-factor in the game. At this point he can’t be trusted and doesn’t belong in your lineup. Over the last ten games he scored only one TD and averages about 50 yards per game. Bench him!

Manuel is the type of QB every fantasy owner should love, he produces against bad defenses. Even though that is obvious, you want a guy who will produce consistently and you can start with confidence. For example, he scored has score on average 19 points against the Jets. He even scored 16 points against the scary Panthers defense and now he gets the Atlanta Falcons who are have given up the 6^th most points to opposing QBs. If you have injuries at the QB position or want a safe 18-20 points this week, EJ is your man.

Stevie Johnson

#36 Ranked WR

Up and down season and coming off an injury, lands Stevie in the gut calls section. He has had some time to heal with the bye week and the matchup is great with the Falcons giving up the 9^th most points to opposing WRs. If you are thin at WR, there could be worse plays. Gauge your expectations to about 7-9 points and you will enjoy his performance.

Fred Jackson

#22 Ranked RB

Jackson is the type of guy that when you doubt him, he burns you. Atlanta gives up the 9^th most fantasy points to RBs and Jackson is coming off a bye week. We love RBs coming off a bye. He is in gut calls because the spilt with Spiller is still a question, but look for him to get at least 60 yards and a TD.

C.J. Spiller

#24 Ranked RB

He had a nice game against the Chiefs back in week 9 that had owners who drafted him high dreaming of what might have been. He has only rushed for over a 100 yards twice this year and only has one touchdown. Don’t fall in love with the name; the only thing that makes you puke this week is his performance, BENCH.

Douglas had an average week last week but he will play the Bills who give up the 3^rd most points to WRs. Douglas has been on an every-other-week pattern which means he should be good this week. Look for double digits.

Steven Jackson

#30 Ranked RB

Jackson had his second best week last week. He was able to get 63 yards off 16 touches and scored a TD. The issue with Jackson is that he has only scored one TD all season and the Bills have only given up three rushing TDs all season. The Bills Defense hasn’t been as good these past few weeks, but they were better earlier in the season. We don’t love this call but if you are in a deep league he is the best option on this team.

Matt Ryan

#22 Ranked QB

You know the drill; he is on your bench. Don’t get cute this close to playoffs and take a gamble on Matty Ice.

Tony Gonzalez

#11 Ranked TE

You will be so mad if you get knocked out of the playoffs because you played Tony Gonzlez. Trust me. After the season of ups and downs that he has put you through, don’t make this mistake. There are other TEs out there that are more consistent for you play. The fact that he will go up against a defense that has given up the 5^th fewest points to TEs should be the nail in the coffin.

Buffalo had a really tough week against Pittsburgh’s defense and we don’t see that changing this week against the New York Jets. The Jets give up the 2^nd fewest points to RBs. Jackson saw the majority of the touches in the backfield last week, but he was held to 55 yards rushing and 7 yards receiving. Jackson is an amazing RB but the Jets defense is no joke.

C.J. Spiller

#25 Ranked RB

Spiller was limited last week, but the coaches insist it was not due to his ankle problems. Truthfulness is something that we don’t get from the Bills coaches; therefore it is hard to tell you whether or not he will get more touches. The only way the Bills will win is if the RBs get the ball more.

Bench Warmers

Everyone else is either injured or just coming off an injury and is too risky to put in your fantasy lineup. The Bills only put up 10 points against the Steelers and it might be a very similar scenario this week.

This is going to be another tough match-up for the Bills. Spiller came back last week and was his old self against a very good defense. He rushed for 155 yards and says his injury did not cause a set back after all that running, but is still listed as Questionable. Jackson had 77 yards rushing and another 22 yards receiving. Unfortunately for fantasy owners he was stuffed at the goal line a few times. Pittsburgh gives up the 6^th most fantasy points to RBs. We expect running to be the majority of the Bills’ game plan.

Johnson got you only 4.6 fantasy points last week and it could have been less if he hadn’t rushed for 10 yards. With the QB situation up in the air so is Johnson’s production. If Manuel plays, Johnson should have bigger numbers. Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin were injured in last week’s game against the Chiefs and are listed as Questionable. Johnson is listed as Probable.

Manuel’s rehab is going very well and he has been cleared by the doctors to start practicing. The Bills might rush him to get back on the field for week 10 since Lewis is still injured and Tuel is not great, to say the least. We don’t love any of these options this week.

Jackson gave you consistent numbers again last week despite being shutdown in the second half. Kansas City gives up the 3rd fewest fantasy points to RBs. This is going to be a very hard game for Jackson to get free but if the Bills get a TD we believe it will be from this guy. Jackson played against some tough defenses and still gives you 10 or more points (except Cincinnati, when he only gave you four fantasy points). After watching Lynch’s performance/implosion on Monday Night Football, anything is possible from your stud RBs, but we expect 10 points from Jackson on Sunday.
