If you watched this game you know that he didn’t get you your points until very late in the game, but points are points and it doesn’t matter when in the game they get them. Gordon has bee a rock star for you all season and he will be up against the Jets who give up the 7^th most point sot WRs. Stick with your guy.

The Browns DEF scored 14 points against Chicago, a far superior offensive juggernaut in comparison to the Jets. The Jet’s are turnover machine and give up the 2^nd most points to DEFs. PLAY THE BROWNS!

Well…I guess Cameron isn’t back to baller status. Sad. He only had 3 catches for 2 points last week and his ribs aren’t doing too well either. The only reason he is a Gut Call is because of the match-up. The Jets give up the 7^th most points to TEs and maybe Cameron can send you off in style.

Edwin Baker

#32 Ranked RB

Don’t take a flyer on Baker. He was just signed from the practice squad and had a nice little game with 13 points, but the Browns backfield is a nightmare and beyond inconsistent.

Josh Gordon has been a beast this season. He is a no brainer Must Start. He tied for the most points by a WR last week and will be a top 10 WR this week as well.

He has been terrible the second half of the season but last week he scored the 2^nd most points out of all TEs. Let’s hope Jason Campbell realized that giving Cameron the ball leads to good things. The TE position has been a real mess this year so all TE are crapshoots, might as well take a risk on him. He is very boom or bust, but when he booms, he booms big.

Campbell had a great game last week and almost scored 30 fantasy points. The problem is that he’s only had two other great games this season. You should have a more stable option for a playoffs this week.

Well it took almost the entire regular fantasy season for Tom Brady to work his way back up to a starter, but there are few other QBs that you should feel better about or who have a better track record of producing than Brady. The Browns fall dead center in the defensive pack when it comes to keep QBs at bay, so it should be a good week for Brady.

Rob Gronkowski

#1 Ranked TE

This should be a no brainer. He is healthy and Brady is his QB. Always a must start. The fact that he was the highest scoring TE last week should prove that and the Browns are weak against TEs.

Gut Calls

Shane Vereen

#27 Ranked RB

We can’t in good faith name Vereen a must start only for the fact that Belichick is his coach and anyone other than Brady can be pulled at any moment. With that said, he could be a great look at an RB2 or flex. He was the 19^th highest scoring RB last week, which lands him exactly in that spot in your lineup. The Browns do a better job stopping the run than the Texans so maybe lean more so towards the flex.

Julian Edelman

#27 Ranked WR

Again, we don’t love any of the Patriots WRs for the fact that you never know which WR will produce that week but Edelman has had the hot hand the last two weeks so if you were going to roll the dice he would be the one to take the gamble on. The Browns give up the ninth fewest points to WRs so perhaps look at another team.

Bench Warmers

There is no obvious bench players this week but you might consider putting the Patriots DEF on the bench, Josh Gordon did blow up last week and has been solid all year at sucking points away from defenses.

In a week where three receivers blew up, Gordon, Jeffery and Decker, it’s crazy to think that a 38 point performance wasn’t the top performance of the week. He came in second but was still the star of your line-up and should have another good week this week playing against the Patriots who are a middle of the pack DEF. This guy alone could win your match-up for you this week. Let’s just hope the third string QB won’t be the starter.

Gordon was the top WR last week racking in 29 fantasy points. He caught 14 passes for 237 yards and one TD. Clearly he was the go to guy and is a very talented player. Over half of those targets were from Weeden so don’t be nervous about Campbell not playing and that affecting Gordon’s production. Play him.

Browns Defense

#5 Ranked DEF

You might not feel great about it as the Browns coughed up a big goose egg last week, but they are playing the Jaguars. The Jaguars have looked much better but they still give up a lot of points to DEFs and seem to always have a few turnovers each game. Browns Defense should fare well in this match-up.

The TE position has been a position of great flux this season. Not a whole lot of consistency and the same can be said for Jordan Cameron. Cameron’s production dropped off when Campbell became QB. The good news is that Cameron got more targets when Weeden came in and he should have a better chance this week with Weeden starting. Playing the Jags should also lend to a good week.

Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell

#26 Ranked QB and Not Ranked QB

Neither of these guys is a go-to guy, especially when you are making a playoff push. You have a better option elsewhere. Campbell suffered a concussion so he won’t play and Weeden has been named the starter for this week. Would you want either of these guys on your favorite team? Nope, and you shouldn’t want them on your fantasy team either.

As expected Josh Gordon had a great game. He scored 18 points with 125 yards and 1 TD. He and Jason Campbell are still finding their groove so hopefully we expect even bigger numbers from Gordon as the season goes on. He will be going up against a DEF that has allowed the 11^th fewest points from WRs, but Gordon is a better than average WR so don’t be worried.

The Browns DEF is still a top DEF in the league. Last week they scored the 7^th most fantasy points out of all DEFs and this week they will be playing a team that is the middle of the pack when it comes to handing points over to teams.

Chris Ogbonnaya

#30 Ranked RB

We don’t love this guy in your line-up but he is a very intriguing possibility as a flex or a fill-in for the bye week. While he isn’t very consistent, he does get the most carries on the team and the Browns try to find ways to get him the ball whether that be pounding the ground or looking for him as a receiver. He has the most upside of all the Brown running backs. The Steelers haven’t done the best job stopping the run so, like we said, it could be an interesting week for Ogbonnaya.

This is the gutsy call of the week, but it is time to downgrade Cameron. We skipped right to the bench, perhaps out of bitterness, but he has not had the same success being paired with Jason Campbell as he did in the first part of the season with Hoyer or Weeden. Within the last 4 weeks he has scored a total of 10 points. We have been accustomed to seeing him score 10 points in 1 week. Till Campbell and Cameron find a groove he needs to be on your bench.

#20 Ranked QB

Man it was an ugly week for Campbell. He scored 7 points and threw 3 INTs. Granted, he didn’t throw an INT till last week but, apparently, felt like throwing 2 more to get caught up on the season. The Steelers give up the 11^th fewest points to opposing QBs so this isn’t the best week for Campbell.

We said it before and we will say it again: A.J. Green is a beast and you should always start him. Biblical rains pouring down? Cincinnati experiences a blizzard un-matched in the last 100 years? A hurricane magically hit Ohio? Yeah…you still start him. You don’t bench beasts…ever. His 150 yards and TD didn’t just come out of nowhere. Play him and be thankful that he is on your team.

Giovani Bernard

#17 Ranked RB

Bernard has made a statement that he is the guy in Cincinnati. He scored 3 TDs in the last two weeks and has had double digit fantasy points as well. Being the goal line guy plus receiving more touches than Green-Ellis makes him a must start. As you know, RBs are falling like flies.

Andy Dalton

#14 Ranked QB

You know we usually put Andy Dalton in the must starts, but we just can’t do that to you again this week. Did he ruin your week last week?  Probably not, as he did score 14 fantasy points, but you were looking for more from your starting QB and 10 other QBs had more points than him. The Browns give up average points to QBs so expect average points from Dalton.

Bengals DEF

#3 Ranked DEF

The Bengals defense is very good and could be considered a gut check this week. Yes, Jason Campbell doesn’t really throw any INTs , but the Browns do give up the 19^th most points to DEFs. When you look at the games that Campbell played they gave up around 4 to 6 points….so look for points in that range.

Don’t be lured onto the Eifert train because he scored 5 points last week. Don’t do it. He is not consistent and you have better options. Get off the train.

Gordon seems to be falling into the all too familiar pattern of “good week, bad week, good week, bad week.”  Luckily for you, he had a bad week before the bye which means he should have a decent week. The Bengals have a good defense, so he might have his work cut out for him, but let’s hope the pattern continues at least one more week in your favor.

Jason Campbell

#22 Ranked QB

Campbell had two great weeks and is coming off a bye.  He had time to rest and to get even more acquainted with the Browns offense. Campbell scored a combined 5 TDs over the last 2 weeks and 0 INTs. While the Bengals defense is tough, scoring 20+ fantasy points makes you a starting fantasy quarterback.

#5 Ranked TE

Okay, he scored 0 fantasy points against Baltimore before the bye.  We have no explanation for it. The two weeks prior he scored 8 points and 11 points, so try to focus on that. The Bengals give up the 8^th fewest points to TEs but this divisional game should add a little extra heat to the match-up.  Hopefully that means the big players will step up.

#55 Ranked WR

Here is the deal, Greg Little hasn’t done much this season but he had a huge game before the bye week. So, what does that mean? Does that mean that he just didn’t have good chemistry with Hoyer and Weeden and has found a groove with Campbell?  Perhaps, but we would wait and see before you risk starting him. Make sure he wasn’t a one week wonder. He would be worth picking up to block other people from getting him though while you assess his value.
