San Francisco 49ers at Tennessee Titans

This could sneak in as the “game of the week.”  But will it be the fantasy game of the week?

This week, we made some gut calls on Chris Johnson, Tennessee Defense, Kendall Wright, and Delanie Walker.

It looks like Fitzpatrick and Wright have the chemistry we’ve been waiting to see. Last week they connected for 69 yards and the week before in Kansas City they connected for 74 yards. Those are 2 tough defenses, so there might be a bump this week in production. Playing Wright would be the definition of a “gut call”. Follow your senses.

This may not be the week for Finley owners to start him. He is coming off an injury and some less-than-stellar performances scoring a total of 3 points in his last 2 games combined. The Ravens have only allowed 3 TDs to TEs all season (which we don’t find encouraging for Finley).

This week, we made some gut calls on A.J. Green, Andy Dalton, Giovani Bernard, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, and Bengals Defense.

Tricky, very tricky. Green-Ellis has nearly double the touches of Bernard, but Bernard has 4.8 yards per carry while Green-Ellis has 3.5 yards per carry. Green-Ellis has one more touchdown than Bernard and, with Bernard’s fumble last week and Green-Ellis pushing through the goal line for a touchdown, we don’t see Bernard getting the rock in the red zone much. When you look up “running back by committee” in the dictionary, you will see these two gents. Both are flex options but not the wisest move for a RB1 or RB2.

Davis is a must play this week because of the match-up. Arizona has given up the fourth most fantasy points to TEs. With Kaepernick having a major bromance with Davis, we don’t see his numbers changing from last week. Davis had 88 yards and a TD. He appears to be healthy and a major part of the 49ers offense.
