This may not be the week for Finley owners to start him. He is coming off an injury and some less-than-stellar performances scoring a total of 3 points in his last 2 games combined. The Ravens have only allowed 3 TDs to TEs all season (which we don’t find encouraging for Finley).

Morgan Burnett signs Green Bay Packers extensionThe Green Bay Packers have made sure Morgan Burnett will remain an anchor in their secondary beyond 2013. NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Burnett has signed a four-year, $24.75 million extension with the Packers, worth up to $26 million with incentives. The deal included an $8.25 million signing bonus.

But in the real world, Clay Matthews consistently makes the Green Bay Packers a better team.  And for that, I congratulate him for his five-year, $66 million contract extension through 2018.  Matthews was in the final year of his rookie contract, and this keeps him in WI.  And good on him for earning an outrageous amount of money.

Does this make Green Bay a must start defense?  No.  Absolutely not.  But it does keep that side of the ball afloat, so I look forward to seeing the squad in the preseason and beyond.
