Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Zac Stacy

#10 Ranked RB

We love you, Zac Stacy!!!  Last week Stacy rushed for 127 yards, 2 TDs and caught 6 passes for 51 yards.  That means, we are happy to report that the Rams FINALLY scored their first rushing TD.  In fact, they liked it so much, they did it twice.  Stacy is the real deal.  Hopefully you picked him up weeks ago when we first brought him up.  If not, he’s gone.  And just hope you don’t have to go up against him anytime soon.  He’s HOT!

Gut Calls

Jared Cook

#21 Ranked TE

Things change.  Mostly, when a team gets a new QB, you need to acknowledge his favorite targets.  And it seems that backup QB, Kellen Clemens, seems to like Cook the best.  Cook caught 3 passes for 36 yards and 1 TD.  That was the good news.  The bad news is that Clemens isn’t very good.  Other than Stacy, it’s hard to trust the Rams offense for fantasy production.

Bench Warmers

Tavon Austin

#71 Ranked WR

Tavon Austin is 44% owned on Yahoo.com.  Why?  What are you seeing?  Do you need glasses?  That’s okay.  Glasses are cool.  What’s not cool?  Still owning a guy averaging 5.31 fantasy points per game.  The last time he scored over 5 fantasy points?  September 22.  Last week, he only rushed for 6 yards.  Yep, he didn’t even catch one ball!  Stop it.  You can do better.

These two teams keep their fantasy owners guessing.  Boom or bust, but we really, really love those booms!

This week, we made some gut calls on Sam Bradford, Zac Stacy, Lance Kendricks, Jared Cook and All the Wide Receivers.

Here is an example of what you can find over at Cover32.com, by Her Fantasy Football:

Gut Calls

Sam Bradford
#23 Ranked QB
For two weeks in a row, Bradford threw 3 TDs. That’s pretty swell. The St Louis offense continue to confuse everyone, and not in a good way, but we need to acknowledge Bradford’s good fantasy play. If you are in a deep league and in a bye week bind, Bradford could be a decent play. He’s an enigma. We don’t get it, but those are the numbers.

Fantasy Forecast: Rams vs. PanthersSt. Louis Rams (3-3) at Carolina Panthers (2-3)) ST. LOUIS RAMS Play ‘Em If Got ‘Em No one is a must start on the Rams. Carolina’s defense is the real deal and none of the players on the Rams offense can produce consistent fantasy numbers.

Both teams are struggling this season and trying to put together winning seasons.  Someone has to win, but you also need to win your fantasy match-up!

This week, we made some gut calls on Zac Stacy, Jared Cook and the wide receivers.

One of the gut calls:

Gut Calls

Zac Stacy

#31 Ranked RB

Most fantasy sites are telling you to pick up this guy. Sure. You can do that. Coach Jeff Fisher confirmed that Stacy would remain the starter in Week 6. For Stacy to become a fantasy starter he must play a larger role in this offense. Last week, as the “starter” he rushed for 78 yards. No TD. Stacy did leave the game due to a rib injury, but supposedly it’s not serious. If you’ve been decimated by injuries, Stacy is worth a flyer. Under normal circumstances, you stash him on your bench and cross your fingers.

Fantasy Foreplay: Texans vs. RamsSt. Louis Rams Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Sadly, no one has any idea as to what’s going on in St Louis. They are all over the map. When it comes to fantasy starters, you look for consistency and/or a super duper matchup.

Jacksonville Jaguars at St Louis Rams

This week, we made some gut calls on Sam Bradford, Jared Cook, Austin Pettis, Tavon Austin and the Running Back situation.

Fantasy Foreplay: Jaguars-Rams previewJacksonville Jaguars (0-4) at St. Louis Rams (1-3) *** JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Yet another tough game for the Jaguars last week against the Colts. They play the losing record Rams this week so this might be the week you pray to the football gods for a miracle but no fantasy husbands on this team.
