We don’t want you to be scared of playing McCoy because he is going up against the 2^nd best run defense in the league (don’t think about it). The Bucs haven’t played great rushing teams so this is a skewed stat. McCoy will get the ball a lot and he has only had one week where he didn’t score you double-digit fantasy points. He will get around 20 touches and, when he has the ball in his hands that much, magic happens. Play him.

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants

This week, we made some gut calls on Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson, and Brent Celek.

They put together a player for player trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.  They gave the Eagles Outside LB Adrian Robinson for RB Felix Jones.  I like player-for-player trades.  They feel like old school football, so I’m all in.

So, where does that leave the backfield?  Felix Jones with join the middling group of backup RBs that are destined to become a “Running Back By Committee”: Jonathan Dwyer, Isaac Redman, Baron Batch and the goal-line back LaRod Stephens-Howling.  No one’s been talking about it, but out of all these guys (included the band-aid Felix Jones) I would only take LaRod Stephens-Howling.  You can get him late in the draft, and we know he’s the goal-line guy.  I think he’s going to have more of a workload, but that’s a prediction.  Either way, he is the only guy in the many-head monster that has a defined role in this offense, and a consistent one.  He has some fantasy value, especially during those rough bye weeks.

To that end, Pittsburgh has traded outside linebacker Adrian Robinson to Philly in exchange for running back Felix Jones, according to NFL reporter Adam Caplan.

TE Dennis Pitta, Baltimore Ravens, dislocated his hip.  Many are predicting that he will at LEAST miss the season opener against the Broncos.  Whether or not he’ll be full strength after that is unknown.  Still, his diagnosis looks much better than Maclin.  And least he’ll see some time in 2013.

UPDATE: When the doctors went in for surgery on Dennis Pitta’s hip, they also found a fracture.  This means he will be out for the whole season because it was pretty much the worst case scenario for his injury.  And, like Maclin, this was his contract year as well, so this is a terrible blow.

Once again, the ladies at Her Fantasy Football hope for speedy recoveries for both of these men and all of the other players who get injured while playing the sport.

More and more we are seeing players exploring entertainment ventures outside the NFL while still playing. Some guys have clothing lines, rap videos, dancing with the stars…some rap videos are even with their wives! (I’m looking at you RG3!)

Do we like to see this side of them or would we rather just see them in pads? Thoughts???

Will the Philadelphia Eagles new head coach follow his head or his heart with the fourth pick of the NFL Draft. That’s the question of this pick. The smart pick is OT from Oklahoma, however fond memories of Dion Jordan will keep DT from Utah in the back of Coach Kelly mind. My guess he will go with DT from Utah.

1. Chip Kelly’s handed the ball off to his running backs on average 39.2 times per game.

2. Last year, the Andy Reid led Philadelphia Eagles averaged only 20.2 rushes per game.

Now, I’m not saying that a Chip Kelly college offense will be the exact same as a Chip Kelly NFL offense. But I am saying that a LeSean McCoy in a Chip Kelly offense could end up a very good thing for Fantasy Ladies.

Long gone are the days of Vick fantasy domination.  He could be a smart play here or there, but you need a quarterback you can count on.  He’s not that guy.  Even less that guy… Nick Foles.  I’m sure he’s a nice person, or whatever, but not fantasy draft worthy.

Early rankings will come out soon, but I could easily name 20 people I would rather have off the top of my head.  Here you go: Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, RG III, Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Matt Ryan, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith, Josh Freeman, Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Jay Cutler, Philip Rivers, Joe Flacco, Cam Newton, Matthew Stafford, Ben Roethlisberger.  Those are in no real particular order and off the top of my head.

Seriously, these guys are a “no-go.”
