How to Evaluate Carson Palmer’s Fantasy Value?
Ron Jaworski, ESPN contributor, is in the midst of releasing his top 32 QBs for the upcoming season. He ranked Carson Palmer as the 23rd best QB in the league, but Jaws really has nothing but good things to say about Palmer. What does this mean to fantasy ladies? This is a classic sleeper scenario. Carson Palmer actually has pretty decent stats considering he’s played on terrible teams. He goes to Arizona to meet up with Larry Fitzgerald, one of the greatest WRs, and magic could happen. COULD… This is a case for “women’s intuition.”
My take: Palmer will not start the season as a fantasy starter. He could, however, improve throughout the season. Fitzgerald is an instant improvement, but that O-Line was TERRIBLE last year. None of the team’s QBs could stay upright. It was downright terrifying to watch. Hopefully, the team made improvements on the line and Carson Palmer fantasy value will go up and up, allowing him to serve as a great fill in when your starter is out for a Bye Week. Things to watch.
