Monday Night Football probably thought this would be a fabulous game when they put it on the schedule back before the season started. Now, well, consider this a nice time to evaluate talent.
This week, we made some gut calls on Victor Cruz, Brandon Jacobs, Hakeem Nicks, Rueben Randle and Eli Manning.

He’s the RB pickup of the week. He had a great game against Chicago with 106 rushing yards, two TDs and even eight receiving yards. Yes, he’s a more mature back. And yes, he’s not the sexy player he was in 2009, but he’s effective on an otherwise ineffective team. Coughlin likes to reward performance. The Giants signed Peyton Hillis this week, but that’s just to keep Jacobs fresh. Look for Jacobs to be a nice fill in for the remainder of the bye weeks.
