Dallas Cowboys 5-4 at New Orleans Saints 6-2
Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em
Tony Romo
#4 Ranked QB
Romo, come back to bed, honey! Yeah, we made up. Last week he passed for 337 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT (we all make mistakes) and rushed for 8 yards against the Vikings. He may never have the kind of game he had against the Broncos every again, but he’s a solid, solid option. Play him.
Dez Bryant
#3 Ranked WR
It was clear as day that the Vikings put together a game plan focused on stopping Bryant and Williams on the outside, at all costs. Even so, Bryant was targeted 11 times. He caught 6 of those passes for 64 yards. We would have loved a TD, but it wasn’t in the stars. New Orleans gives up the 10th fewest fantasy points to WRs, but don’t let that deter you. Romo will throw and he will throw to Dez.
Dan Bailey
#3 Ranked K
The Cowboys will have to score, and score often to stand a chance against New Orleans. Scoring almost always means Bailey fantasy points. Get in on this action and give your team a boost.
Jason Witten
#7 Ranked TE
It’s so hard to stay mad at this guy! Last week was a big comeback week for Witten, catching 8 passes for 102 yards and 1 TD. The Saints give up the 3rd fewest points to opposing TEs, so his fantasy numbers could go down. But it’s nice to know that the team still depends on him. So should you.
Gut Calls
Terrence Williams
#22 Ranked WR
Man, Williams had an off game last week against the Vikings. He only caught 2 balls for 33 yards. He’s still getting targets, so chalk this up to a tough day, and continue to trust. We understand being hesitant, but look for Romo to go back to him in a big way when he needs points. He had at least one TD in each of the four games before this. Just sayin’.
Bench Warmers
All Running Backs
We thought if Murray came back the Cowboys would return to a more balanced offensive attack. We were wrong. Murray was the highest scoring RB on the team – with 5 fantasy points! Ugh. Until we see more, give pause to starting anyone in this backfield.
Dallas Defense
#21 Ranked DEF
You don’t play the defense going up against the New Orleans Saints if you can avoid it. And yes, the Jets fared well against the Saints last week, but that’s all the more reason to be scared. A ticked off offense led by Drew Brees and steered by Sean Payton sounds terrifying.
