San Francisco 49ers – Fantasy Forecast – Week 15
San Francisco 49ers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em
Vernon Davis
#3 Ranked TE
Davis has gone up against some pretty tough defenses the last few weeks, with the exception of Washington, and still scored at least one TD in all of his last four games. Davis was held to only 21 yards last week against Seattle but the goods news for you is that Davis plays Tampa Bay this week. Tampa Bay has given up the 16th most fantasy points to opposing TEs. Davis has the 2nd most fantasy points at his position in standard scoring and is a Must Start.
Anquan Boldin
#34 Ranked WR
Another good week for Boldin. If you have three WRs on your roster Boldin is a Must Start. The additions of Crabtree and Manningham really opened things up for Boldin to be productive. Tampa Bay gives up the 17th most fantasy points to WRs. Crabtree was in for a lot more snaps and had two more receptions then he did the week before but we still don’t think Crabtree is not a Must Start or Gut Call yet.
Phil Dawson
#10 Ranked K
Last week was Dawson’s fifth game in a row in the double digits. Tampa Bay gives up the 13th most fantasy points to Ks. Play him.
Gut Calls
Colin Kaepernick
#21 Ranked QB
Kaepernick is so hot and cold but he does play better against bad teams and Tampa Bay is just that. They give up the 10th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. Last week we knew Kaepernick would have a bad day against Seattle and he’s only scored over 18 fantasy points in one of the last five weeks. In Week 1 Kaepernick scored 30.68 fantasy points and followed that performance in Week 2 with 5.78 points. That describes his season. If you are a gambler then Kaepernick is your guy this week.
Frank Gore
#22 Ranked RB
Gore has only had four games under 10 fantasy points, but unfortunately three of the four games have been in the last four weeks. Tampa Bay gives up the 8th fewest fantasy points to RBs. Don’t bench the man who brought you but if you practiced great team management you might have another good RB with a better matchup.
Bench Warmers
There are no obvious Bench Warmers this week.
