These two teams/coaches hate each other.  This makes for fantastic football viewing, but not necessary fantastic fantasy numbers.

This week, we made some gut calls on Bilal Powell, Geno Smith, and the Wide Receiver situation.

Here is an example of what you can find over at Cover32.com, by Her Fantasy Football:

Gut Calls

Bilal Powell
#27 Ranked RB
Let’s be honest, he’s had a huge drop-off. He hurt his shoulder last week, and rushed for 30 yards and caught two passes for 20 yards. Those are not starting fantasy RB numbers. Mike Goodson is out for the season, and Chris Ivory still hasn’t stepped up to the plate, so Powell is the RB to own on the Jets. He’s a flex, maybe.

Rivalry games often yield fantasy gold.  And even though both of these teams are known for their tough defensive schemes, look for some flashy play.  Both teams are going through a transition right now, so you never quite know what you are going to see.

This week, we made some gut calls on Antonio Brown, Heath Miller, Le’Veon Bell, Emmanuel Sanders and Ben Roethlisberger.

Here is an example of what you can find over at Cover32.com, by Her Fantasy Football:

Play ‘Em If Got ‘Em

Heath Miller
#10 Ranked TE
He’s not flashy. He’s not the “sexy” play, but he’s dependable. Big Ben likes him and Baltimore gives up the 9th most points to TEs. In standard scoring leagues, Miller has scored 3.5, 7, and 8.4 points in the three weeks since he got back from injury. Those numbers are going in the right direction. He could be a sneaky play for those of you with Jimmy Graham on a bye week.

This could sneak in as the “game of the week.”  But will it be the fantasy game of the week?

This week, we made some gut calls on Chris Johnson, Tennessee Defense, Kendall Wright, and Delanie Walker.

Here is an example of what you can find over at Cover32.com, by Her Fantasy Football:

Gut Calls

Kendall Wright
#44 Ranked WR
It looks like Fitzpatrick and Wright have the chemistry we’ve been waiting to see. Last week they connected for 69 yards and the week before in Kansas City they connected for 74 yards. Those are 2 tough defenses, so there might be a bump this week in production. Playing Wright would be the definition of a “gut call”. Follow your senses.

This week against Tennessee will be a great match-up for Davis as well. Kaepernick has found the man of his dreams and does not want to disappoint him.

Arrowhead. That’s a scary word. And the Chiefs continue to dominate. Their defense… holy moly their DEFENSE!

This week, we made some gut calls on Jamaal Charles, Alex Smith, the Wide Receiver situation and that scare Kansas City Chiefs Defense.

Here is an example of what you can find over at Cover32.com, by Her Fantasy Football:

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Kansas City Defense
#1 Ranked DEF
Yeah, they are the best. No doubt about it. They average (yes, average) 19.67 fantasy points per game. That’s crazy town. And you know what’s even crazier than that? Houston gives up the second most fantasy points to opposing defenses. That’s what happens when you literally throw a pick-6 in every game. Look for a Kansas City beat down.

Another fantasy orgy!  You know we love these.  Start almost everyone (not so fast, Miles Austin).

This week, we made some gut calls on Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, Dallas Defense, Terrence Williams, Jason Witten and Mile Austin.

Here is an example of what you can find over at Cover32.com, by Her Fantasy Football:

Gut Calls

Jason Witten
#3 Ranked TE
Boom or bust.  This guy is driving us crazy.  Witten ranks 10th out of TE’s this year for average points per game, but he’s only been over 10 points in 2 of his outings.  Frustrating.  You probably have to play him, but we wanted to let you know that the Eagles give up the 7th fewest points to TEs, so temper your already low expectations.

Monday Night Football probably thought this would be a fabulous game when they put it on the schedule back before the season started.  Now, well, consider this a nice time to evaluate talent.

This week, we made some gut calls on Victor Cruz, Brandon Jacobs, Hakeem Nicks, Rueben Randle and Eli Manning.

Here is an example of what you can find over at Cover32.com, by Her Fantasy Football:

Gut Calls

Brandon Jacobs
#17 Ranked RB

He’s the RB pickup of the week. He had a great game against Chicago with 106 rushing yards, two TDs and even eight receiving yards. Yes, he’s a more mature back. And yes, he’s not the sexy player he was in 2009, but he’s effective on an otherwise ineffective team. Coughlin likes to reward performance. The Giants signed Peyton Hillis this week, but that’s just to keep Jacobs fresh. Look for Jacobs to be a nice fill in for the remainder of the bye weeks.

The Jay Culter/ Brandon Marshall bromance can fuel your fantasy team.  Let it work for you.

This week, we made some gut calls on Brandon Marshall, Matt Forte, Chicago Defense, Jay Cutler, Martellus Bennett and Alshon Jeffery.

Here is an example of what you can find over at Cover32.com, by Her Fantasy Football:

Play ‘Em If Got ‘Em

Brandon Marshall
#3 Ranked WR
We said he’d have a bounce back game last week, and he did. No one puts Baby Brandon in the corner. Jay Cutler made sure to feed the ball to Marshall, which garnered him 87 yards receiving and two TDs. Cutler and Marshall will never break up. Even when a pretty, young thing turns Cutler’s head (yeah, we’re talking to you, Alshon), Jay makes sure to right the ship. Never bench Marshall. Don’t get cute. You will lose.

Fantasy Forecast: Bears-Redskins previewChicago Bears (4-2) at Washington Redskins (1-4) CHICAGO BEARS Play ‘Em If Got ‘Em Gut Calls Bench Warmers We almost put Jeffery in this category because of last week’s performance, but the matchup is too good to ignore receivers. None of the Bears need benching. Not yet.
