For the past few weeks we have gone position by position talking about strategies for drafting each position, which players to avoid and who we think you should target. This week we will be wrapping up our positions analysis and will talk about tight ends, kickers and defenses. In this episode, Ashley explains why she is never willing to draft Gronkowski despite his ADP finally falling to the 2nd round, Brandon thinks Austin Hooper will have a bump in production this year and thinks the value in the 13th round is on point, and Courtney explains why she thinks it is okay to take a defense before the last 2 rounds of the...

We have talked about the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers…it is now time to talk about the “other guys” who make up the rest of your fantasy football roster. That would be the ever frustrating tight end position, the kickers who are constantly a debate of whether they matter or not and the defenses who are usually one of the last pick ups of the draft. These guys might not bring the star power as the other sexy positions but you better believe they still serve a purpose on your roster and that you very much still need to pay attention and plan for them. In this episode Brandon is down on both Gronk and Bennett due to strength of schedule and the absence of Brady for four games; Ashley talks about how the Seattle Seahawks are the barometer for when defenses fly off the board, for which Courtney compares to Ashley throwing up on carnival rides; and Courtney talks about how her belief that every team’s offense in the AFC West has improved might have an impact on Kansas City as a top...

This week we are not going team by team but instead are only talking about the top of the top in each position or who we are avoiding. It can all changes once the players start to hit the field but listen to hear who as of right now we feel good...

Pick these guys up! We partnered with RotoBaller to give you accurate and timely waiver wire adds. In turn, they post our podcast to their site (which is centered around setting your weekly lineups). Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller Although Week 17 can be as unpredictable as global-warmed weather due to teams shutting players down either for the playoffs or to spare them from needless injury in meaningless games, there are still some fantasy leagues out there that use the last week of the NFL season as their fantasy Super Bowl. If a fantasy owner made it to his/her league’s title game without a decent tight end, congratulations! While quarterbacks, running backs and receivers are more important to fantasy football success, winning consistently without at least an average tight end is difficult. But if you are now in your league’s championship game and you think an upgrade at the tight end position this week could put your squad over the top, there are still some options available on most waiver wires. Here are three tight ends worthy of a look: Week 17 Waiver Wire — Tight Ends (TE) Zach Ertz (TE, PHI) — 40% Owned in Fleaflicker Ertz’s 2015 campaign was rockier than Rick Perry’s presidential campaign. He went without a touchdown catch for the first 10 games and missed a week due to a concussion. But at least Ertz’s 2015 is ending on a much higher note than Perry’s. Ertz has been downright dominant over the past three games, catching 26 passes for 298 yards and one touchdown. That’s more receptions and yards than some starting...

Pick these guys up! We partnered with RotoBaller to give you accurate and timely waiver wire adds. In turn, they post our podcast to their site (which is centered around setting your weekly lineups). Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller It all comes down to this…for some of you! If you are lucky enough to be alive in the playoffs in your fantasy football league, you are either in your semifinals or you are in the Super Bowl because your league skips the last week of the season. So every point you get from your quarterback to your kicker is crucial. The tight ends on the waiver wire at this juncture of the season are scarce. Pulling a diamond out of the rough now is harder than keeping Houston Texans quarterbacks healthy, but here are Craig’s three tight ends that could help out fantasy owners during this important week. Week 16 Waiver Wire — Tight Ends (TE) Will Tye (TE, NYG ) — 8% Owned in Fleaflicker It is time to jump on the fantasy bandwagon of the man with the short but sweet name. If you thought he was a fluke then you must have thought Devonta Freeman, Allen Robinson and Jordan Reed were flashes in the pan, too! Tye has taken over for the injured Larry Donnell and been a fantasy find since he was inserted into New York’s starting lineup. While Tye has averaged five catches and 55 yards over his past five games, the big news came out of his last two outings. He scored touchdowns in back-to-back contests after not finding the end...

Enjoy! This article originally appeared on RotoBaller Unless you are in a fantasy football league that does not believe in a postseason and goes by cumulative point totals (which is silly), your league is in the thick of the playoffs and hopefully your squad qualified for them. This is not the time to make a boneheaded Leon Lett-like decision if you are in the fantasy playoffs. One lineup mistake where you take out a hero and insert a zero could cost you a title, prize money and may force you to get a tattoo on a buttock. Buffalo’s Charles Clay, Cincinnati’s Tyler Eifert and Carolina’s Greg Olsen all left their games this past Sunday with injuries, so there should be plenty of fantasy owners in the market for a tight end for their playoff contests. Here are three tight ends Craig wants you to consider this week on the waiver wire: Week 15 Waiver Wire — Tight Ends (TE) Austin Seferian-Jenkins (TE, TB) — 55% Owned in Fleaflicker Hey, hey! Seferian-Jenkins stayed healthy for two games in a row! So this means he should be safe to steal off the waiver wire if he is still available in your league. It is amazing how well rookie quarterback Jameis Winston has played this year when his second and third-best options in Tampa Bay’s passing attack, Vincent Jackson and Seferian-Jenkins, have been out for the...
