Kansas City Chiefs – Fantasy Forecast – Week 11

Cover32LogoKansas City Chiefs 9-0 at Denver Broncos 8-1

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Jamaal Charles

#1 Ranked RB

Charles is everything.  He’s the only offensive weapon of note on the Chiefs and they need to step it up.  Denver gives up the 10th most fantasy points to opposing RBs, so watch it rain.

Gut Calls

Alex Smith

#17 Ranked QB

Denver gives up the 11th most fantasy points to QBs and Alex Smith has something to prove.  The main criticism of the undefeated Chiefs is their inability to score.  Smith must throw it down the field to keep up with even a gimpy Manning.  However, he was terrible in the game before the bye.  At Buffalo, Smith only threw for 124 yards, 0 TDs and 0 INTs.  He also rushed for 7 yards, his lowest rushing yardage of the season.  He’s risky, but he could also be your difference maker.

Bench Warmers

Kansas City Defense

#19 Ranked DEF

They are the best defense in football right now.  And you know they are must starts every week… except the two weeks they play the Denver Broncos.  Even on crutches, Manning will carve any and all defenses.  Is there a chance that Manning is really hurt and he leaves the game at some point and the backup gives up a ton of points to this skilled squad?  Sure.  A chance.  But we’re getting towards the end of the fantasy season; you don’t want to take that chance.  Denver gives up the fewest fantasy points to opposing defenses.  And although we think the Chiefs will fare better than most, that would still only put them in the middle of the pack this week.  Let them rest.
