Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Carolina Defense

#1 Ranked DEF

They were the 11th ranked defense last week going up against Tom Brady and the Patriots.  This week they go up against Tannehill and a patchwork offensive line.  Yes, please.

Cam Newton

#5 Ranked QB

First, let’s take a moment to congratulate Cam for his great game against New England.  Newton passed for 209 yards, 3 TDs and rushed for an additional 62 yards.  He looked like a super-star.  We continue to tell you to start him because he’s an athletic phenomenon and he will blow up on your bench.  However, because we need to point out everything, Newton doesn’t do very well against tougher defenses (i.e. Seattle, Arizona and San Francisco) and he’s going up against Miami.  The Dolphins give up the 5th fewest fantasy points to opposing QBs.  We’re just putting that out there.

Gut Calls

Greg Olson

#7 Ranked TE

Miami gives up the 4th most fantasy points to opposing TEs and Olson was pretty great against the Patriots last week.  He caught 5 passes for 52 yards and 1 TD.  The TE position is frighteningly thin, so he should be considered in most leagues.

Bench Warmers

All Wide Receivers

As we keep saying, the WR production on this team is all over the map.  A different receiver is the high receiver each week.  And this week, they go up against Miami and they give up the 3rd fewest fantasy points to opposing WRs.  You can’t feel good about that.

Each week the ladies of Her Fantasy Football will provide written fantasy analysis and commentary on our brother site, Cover32.com.  Please go over there and check out all the exciting new things that group has to offer in regards to league news.  They provide in-depth analysis, team by team, giving the fans a closer look at the teams they love.
