Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Tony Romo

#7 Ranked QB

Now that the bye weeks are over, Romo will waver between “Play Him” and “Gut Call.” This week, we suggest playing him. He’s going up against Oakland, and they give up the 9th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. He’s at home, in the Jerry dome, coming off a big divisional win against the New York Giants. Also, last week he made things happen with Dez Bryant and Jason Witten and we’re looking for those connections to continue into this week when they go up against a Raiders defense that seems to have lost their way.

DeMarco Murray

#17 Ranked RB

Last week Murray rushed for 86 yards and caught three passes for 40 yards against a rather stout Giants rush defense. This week he goes up against Oakland, and they are so-so against the run. However, have no fear. Murray has one of the easiest schedules to take you through the fantasy playoffs: OAK, @CHI, GB, @WAS, PHI. Not too shabby.

Dez Bryant

#3 Ranked WR

FINALLY! Dez Bryant caught nine passes for 102 yards last week. He played a very large role in the offense, and even though he didn’t catch a TD last week, he still proved that the Cowboys offense will run through him. Bryant did cough up the ball, but he blamed the cold. That’s fine. This week he’s in a dome going up against the Raiders defense who gives up the 5th most fantasy points to opposing WRs. That’s the sort of gravy you want on your turkey.

Jason Witten

#3 Ranked TE

Oh, if only Witten could catch two TDs in every game… The bad news, Jason Witten isn’t the PPR monster of years past. The good news, he’s turning into a TD monster. Witten had a total of eight TDs over the past two years, combined. This year, he already has six TDs. We’re into it.

Gut Calls

Dan Bailey

#11 Ranked K

Oh, the weather outside is frightful… and you want a kicker in a dome. Meet your new best friend, Dan Bailey. Next week he plays in Chicago, but this week, let it snow… somewhere else.

Dallas Defense

#9 Ranked DEF

Last week the Dallas Defense was great against the Giants. This week, Oakland gives up the 7th most fantasy points to opposing defenses. McGloin looked pretty good last week, but he’s still a newbie. If Sean Lee is back, and that’s a huge IF, they are a must play. If not, go with your gut.

Bench Warmers

Terrance Williams

#55 Ranked WR

There is a chance that Williams will score a TD in this game. He’s done just that in five out of his last seven games. However, last week was troubling, to say the least. He only caught one pass for 10 yards. He was part of a WR rotation with Miles Austin and Cole Beasley. So until his role becomes clear again, we have a tough time telling anyone to start him.

Miles Austin

#61 Ranked WR

One reception for 17 yards last week didn’t build our confidence. Last week was his first week back from his hamstring injury and Oakland does give up the 5th most fantasy points to WRs, but he’s gotta give you something to believe in. Too risky.
