New Orleans Saints – Fantasy Forecast – Week 14
Carolina Panthers 9-3 at New Orleans Saints 9-3
Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em
Drew Brees
#9 Ranked QB
The Panthers currently give up the fewest points to opposing QBs and after a tough game against the Seahawks, some of you may want to bench Mr. Brees. Don’t do that. That’s not cool. He’s Drew Brees and you ALWAYS start your studs. Carolina hasn’t faced an elite level QB all year. They looked decent against Tom Brady and Matt Ryan, both of which played without any WRs. Which QB put up the most fantasy points on the Panthers DEF this year? That would be Ryan Tannehill. Brees is full systems go in the Superdome.
Jimmy Graham
#2 Ranked TE
On paper the Panthers give up the 8th fewest points to TEs, but this is Jimmy and you’re starting him. Carolina’s numbers look better than what they are against TEs, mostly because they haven’t faced many good ones this year. Both Tony Gonzalez and Gronk put up over 10 fantasy points against them.
Gut Calls
New Orleans WRs
Not because they lack talent or opportunity, it’s just fantasy roulette. Who catches the ball? No one really knows.
Bench Warmers
New Orleans RBs
While the Carolina Defense hasn’t been tested by a legit fantasy QB this year, they have been tested by some of the best rushers in the game. And they won. The Carolina Defense held Marshawn Lynch to 5.2 points and Adrian Peterson to 8.3 points. Only four times all year has a RB scored over 10 fantasy points against the Panthers. Bench them.
