Pittsburgh Steelers – Fantasy Forecast – Week 10

Buffalo Bills 3-6 at Pittsburgh Steelers 2-6

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Le’Veon Bell

#13 Ranked RB

Buffalo gives up the 6th fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs, but Bell doesn’t care.  Neither should you.  He’s a talented, three-down back.  Play him.  Last week he rushed for 74 yards and caught 4 passes for 65 yards.  Throw in a TD, and that’s fantasy gold.

Gut Calls

Ben Roethlisberger

#14 Ranked QB

Roethlisberger played his best game last week, passing for 400 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs and rushed for -1 yards.  So, you’re saying he’s not a read option guy?  Anyway, he could be awesome against Buffalo.

Antonio Brown, Emmanuel Sanders, Jerricho Cotchery

#12 and #31 and #53 Ranked WR

Talk about the ultimate Gut Call.  Buffalo gives up the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing WRs, but this receiving corps continues to rotate the work.  Antonio Brown has the highest points per game average, coming in at 11.33 fantasy points.  However, he’s never been the top scoring receiver of the week.  Cotchery scored the most points three of the weeks, Sanders was the top scorer four weeks, and even Heath Miller had one week of being the top guy.  You just don’t know, so take your pick.

Bench Warmers

Heath Miller

#16 Ranked TE

He’s averaging 5.13 fantasy points per game, but he seems to play less and less of a role in this offense as the weeks fly by.  Buffalo gives up the 7th fewest fantasy points to opposing TEs, so don’t expect much.

The Steelers are looking for their first win, but the NY Jets keep winning.  We think this will be a fun, old school game.  Think ground and pound, with emphasis on the pound.

This week, we made some gut calls on Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell, Ben Roethlisberger, Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery.

An example of our Steelers fantasy analysis:

Gut Calls

Le’Veon Bell
#18 Ranked RB
Bell set the stadium on fire his first game in the pros: 57 yards rushing, 27 yards passing and 2 TDs. You have to love that. But buyer beware, he’s going up against the SOLID Jets defense. The Jets have given up the 4th fewest fantasy points to RBs, so this will be a bit of a wakeup call. The lackluster RB performances across the league dictate a borderline “must start” status for Bell, but we put him under “gut calls” to temper expectations.
