Week 15 – Houston Texans Fantasy Forecast

Houston Texans (7-6) at Indianapolis Colts (9-4)   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Arian Foster– #4 Ranked RB You might be a bit nervous that he didn’t practice Wednesday, but he also didn’t practice on Wednesday of last week and came out and was the 8th highest scoring running back last week. He scored a TD and had 127 yards off 24 touches and is the 5th highest scoring back for the season. You would be nuts to not play him as long as he steps on the field. I think him not practicing is more so a vet/maintenance kind of hold out. Fret not.     Gut Calls Houston Texans Receivers DeAndre Hopkins didn’t have the kind of week that we are used to now and Andre Johnson was sad as usual. They run the ball a lot last week and they might do the same this week since being as Arian Foster has a much nicer match up than the receivers. The Colts give up the 7th most points to running backs whereas they give up the 4th fewest to receivers. I think it is going to be another Foster kind of day.     Bench Warmers Ryan Fitzpatrick– #19 Ranked QB It was fun Fitzy….rooting for you to step it up a notch, but this week we just can’t. He had an okay week last week but nothing to get excited about. This week will be no different and he didn’t play great earlier this year against the Colts so expect some more...

Week 13 – Houston Texans Fantasy Forecast

Houston Texans (5-6) vs Tennessee Titans (2-9)    Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em DeAndre Hopkins– #21 Ranked WR Yes, Hopkins had a pretty blah game last week, but he has some catches, or near catches is more like it that would have greatly improved his score. He is still being targeted, he is still the leading receiver and he is still a top 30 receiver in the league which makes him a must start.     Gut Calls Andre Johnson– #36 Ranked WR It seems as if Johnson is on a decent amount of catches/virtually no catches pattern. Recently it has gone, 7,2, bye week, 7 and 3. Well the Titans are no slouches in the secondary allowing the 10th fewest points, but 7 receptions is a possibility. Johnson is the epitome of a gut call and will really depend on what other receivers you have out there as to whether or not you will have to play him. Avoid if you can.     Bench Warmers Ryan Fitzpatrick– #30 Ranked QB Ryan Fitzpatick was benched two games ago but then Ryan Mallett was placed on IR on Wednesday, meaning Fitzy is the man again. The good news is that he wasn’t out of game for very long so he hasn’t lost his touch nor his rapport with his receivers. He wasn’t playing horribly before he was benched and Ryan Mallett wasn’t playing lights out either, so I would expect the same kind of production from Fitzpatrick and his teammates as you have seen all season...

Week 13 – Tennessee Titans Fantasy Forecast

Tennessee Titans (2-9) at Houston Texans (5-6)   Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Delanie Walker– #3 Ranked TE On paper this match up is not in Delanie Walker’s favor, but in a slim position, you have to play Walker. Houston gives up the 3rd fewest points to tight ends, but put that out of your mind and think about the game last week in which he had 155 yards off 5 catches. What is most exciting about those 155 yards is that 105 of them came after the catch. That means he is moving well and playing good ball. That is very encouraging.     Gut Calls Notable: Justin Hunter- #57 Ranked WR, Nate Washington- Not Ranked WR and Kendall Wright- #48 Ranked WR   Zach Mettenberger– #14 Ranked QB It would appear that Mettenberger playing well is not a one-week wonder. Since he got the start he has scored 15, 9, 16 and 19 points, throwing for over 250 yards in 3 out of the 4 games. Houston’s defense is pretty middle of the pack in terms of shutting down QBs, so while I am not ready to scream from the rooftops about him, he has fallen into the top 10 QBs again last week and he is certainly a good option for the Matthew Stafford owners out there.     Bench Warmers Bishop Sankey– #34 Ranked RB I am starting to feel like it is not a show if I am not mentioning the reasons to not play Sankey. I am hoping that most of you are on the “Ashley strongly advises you against Bishop Sankey”...
