Every week we go match up by match up and tell you who your must starts, gut calls and bench players are for the game. This week we spiced it up a bit and talked about our Holiday wishes. We can’t cover every player but we should be able to answer those burning questions as to whether or not this is a good match up for one of your questionable players. Let the fun...

New England Patriots 11-3 at New York Jets 3-11 Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em There are several guys on the Patriots that are MUST STARTS every week. No need to write about these guys that we have ranked #1 or #2 in their positions. Notables: Rob Gronkowski – #1 Ranked Tight End, New England Defense – #1 Ranked Defense, Tom Brady – #2 Ranked Quarterback, and Stephen Gostkowski – #1 Ranked Kicker Julian Edelman – #18 Ranked Wide Receiver Sorry fantasy owners. Edelman has been ruled out with a concussion. Make sure to change your lineups! Brandon LaFell – #25 Ranked Wide Receiver LaFell continues to be listed as Questionable from the same shoulder injury he has been playing throw. He will still play and you should start him against the Jets that give up the 12th most fantasy points to Wide Receivers. Now with Edelman out, Brady will be relying on LaFell even more and his stock goes up. Gut Calls You are either playing them or not in New England. Bench Warmers Shane Vereen – #31 , LeGarrette Blount – #19 , and Jonas Gray – #51 Ranked Running Back First of all the Jets are tough against the run. Secondly no one knows what is going on in that backfield. One week it is Vereen, then Blount, and then the silent Gray comes out to play. Vereen rushed 6 times, Blount 8 times and Gray had 11 carries last week. The week before Blount had 20 carries while both Vereen and Gray only had one. Belicheck is trying...

by Ashley Williams | Dec 14, 2014 | Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots
Miami Dolphins (7-6) at New England Patriots (10-3) Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em None Gut Calls Caleb Sturgis– #22 Ranked K Sturgis is the 11th highest scoring kicker in the league thus far this year, so depending on the size of your league, he is a must start. He did have his best week of the season against the Patriots so that is also something to keep in mind. Lamar Miller– #20 Ranked RB You will probably need to play Miller, let’s be honest. He had 12 touches for 53 yards last week but no TD. If he can find his way into the end zone you would have an RB1 on your hands, instead you have a RB2 with an average match up. Look at your bench and see if you have a player with a better match up. Bench Warmers Notable: Ryan Tannehill- #16 Ranked QB The Dolphins Wide Receivers I am sorry, but when Brian Hartline, who only averages 2.6 catches a game is your leading receiver for the week, you have a problem. Wallace was only able to snag 3 of his 4 targets for 39 yards and was stopped by a less than impressive Raven’s secondary. Sadly the Patriots secondary is impressive and give up the 5th fewest points Dolphins Defense– #20 Ranked DEF Similar to starting a defense against the Broncos….you do not start a defense against the Patriots. Granted the Dolphins did well in week one against the Pats, but that was before Brady and crew were in a groove. Don’t do...

New England Patriots 9-3 at San Diego Chargers 8-4 Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Rob Gronkowski – #1 Ranked Tight End No one is Gronk. He leads the league in fantasy points for Tight Ends with 145 points. 26 more fantasy points then Jimmy Graham. It doesn’t matter for Gronk that the Chargers give up the 4th fewest fantasy points to Tight Ends. It is Tim Wright time as well. He does really well against teams that are tough against Tight Ends. Tom Brady – #7 Ranked Quarterback The Chargers give up the 15th fewest fantasy points to Quarterbacks, but they have been giving up fantasy points recently. Tannehill had 28 pts in Week 9 and Flacco had 23 fantasy points in Week 13. Brady should have no problem moving the ball down the field. Brandon LaFell – #22 Ranked Wide Receivers LaFell is listed as Questionable with a shoulder injury that he played through last week. He should see the majority of the Targets since the Chargers will be focusing on the Tight Ends. LaFell points are alittle all over the board but he is the perfect flex option. Gut Calls Julian Edelman – #31 Ranked Wide Receiver Edelman saw 10 targets last week and 15 the week before. He hasn’t been doing much with those targets. He is no more then a WR3/flex this week. LeGarrette Blount – #24 Ranked Running Back Blount rushed 10 times for 58 yards. Should see more attempts if Vereen is out. Watch your injury reports. This is a night game so you might just want...
