Man, oh man.  What is up with the RB position this year?!?!  Make sure to check out the podcast tomorrow for some options.  Sadly, they are few and far between.  But you have to keep your head up!

And unlike the New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Jacksonville Jaguars, if you are 0-4 you can still make it into the playoffs.  But you need to make some changes, now.

This is a more aggressive week in regards to bye week fill-in needs.  The next few weeks will take some strategy.  Check it out.

In case you’ve been living under a fantasy football rock, one of the weirdest trades of the century took place yesterday.  Stud muffin RB Trent Richardson was traded to the Indianapolis Colts and the Cleveland Browns decided to sign veteran RB Willis McGahee in his stead.

What?!?!

We had to go back and look at our rankings that usually come out on Wednesday.  I’m sure you could understand the upheaval.  That trade was… insane.

Dirty Plays In Detroit, Who Is To Blame?

Ndamukong Suh is fined $100,000.00 for a low hit. Why so much money? Suh is known for being dirty and has been fined six times already since being drafted in 2010.

Is the fine too much?

Is it just the player’s fault or the Coach as well?

Where does the league go from here with Suh and the Detroit Lions?

Does Schwartz Deserve Blame for Suh’s Dirty Play?In the NFL, coaches coach and players play. There will always be a fine line between what players are asked to do by coaches and what those same players actually do once they are between the white lines.

Thought Peyton Manning or Colin Kaepernick was overrated? Oops.

Did you buy the David Wilson hype?  Oops.

Did you listen to the podcast and played Julius Thomas, Jared Cook or Jordan Cameron?  You’re welcome.

Here are the rankings for the second week of the season.  Week One was a tough one for a lot of the studs (especially at RB), but look for some bounce back.  Make sure to check on the Probable and Questionable players before you set your line up.

The long wait is OVER!!!

The first game is this Thursday, and it is a goodie.  The Super Bowl champs, Baltimore Ravens, will travel to Denver to face off against the Broncos.  This game (unlike many of the Thursday night games) should prove fantasy football gold.

Set your line up and play with confidence.  Make sure to check out our podcast every Thursday.  You can listen to it right here on the site, on Stitcher, SoundCloud, and iTunes.

Weekly Positional Rankings – 8.28.13

It’s getting down to the last-minute.  We’ve seen the preseason action, at lest the portion that counts.  We’ve looked over last year’s stats.  We’ve seen the players and whether or not they stayed fit, improved, or totally let it go over the off-season.

And now, we have the rankings.

These are the last Draft Day rankings because next week – We Rank Week 1!

Best of luck with your drafts.  Stay remotely sober, follow your gut and the stats.

Weekly Positional Rankings – 8.21.13 – But yes, it is two days later

Hello, little loves.

So sorry we were late with our rankings this week.  The good news is that we are on iTunes!!!  The bad news is that the technical nightmare we had to endure to get there put us behind a bit.

But that’s okay.  We’re on the right track!

Lots of changes this week.  Injuries, depth charts and questionable or dynamic play have helped to shape this weeks’ rankings.  Best of luck to all of you drafting this week.  It’s getting crazy out there.

Pittsburgh Steelers Acquire RB Felix Jones from the Eagles, Try to Lick RB Le’Veon Bell Wound

Pittsburgh Steelers scrambled to add another RB into the mix once they realized that although early reports indicate the RB Le’Veon Bell will not need surgery on his mid-foot sprain, the injury will hold him our 6 to 8 weeks.  And let’s be honest, if you’ve ever played fantasy football, you know that a foot injury can linger all season, and beyond.

They put together a player for player trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.  They gave the Eagles Outside LB Adrian Robinson for RB Felix Jones.  I like player-for-player trades.  They feel like old school football, so I’m all in.

So, where does that leave the backfield?  Felix Jones with join the middling group of backup RBs that are destined to become a “Running Back By Committee”: Jonathan Dwyer, Isaac Redman, Baron Batch and the goal-line back LaRod Stephens-Howling.  No one’s been talking about it, but out of all these guys (included the band-aid Felix Jones) I would only take LaRod Stephens-Howling.  You can get him late in the draft, and we know he’s the goal-line guy.  I think he’s going to have more of a workload, but that’s a prediction.  Either way, he is the only guy in the many-head monster that has a defined role in this offense, and a consistent one.  He has some fantasy value, especially during those rough bye weeks.

Report: Eagles trade RB Felix Jones to Steelers for LB Adrian RobinsonThe Steelers need a running back and the Eagles need to bolster a defense that was among the worst last season — and didn’t look much different through two preseason games. To that end, Pittsburgh has traded outside linebacker Adrian Robinson to Philly in exchange for running back Felix Jones, according to NFL reporter Adam Caplan.
