Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys

The Vikings are a hot mess.  There’s no getting around it.  However, the Dallas Cowboys are the new fantasy dependables.  Even when they lose, or look like they’re having a mediocre game, they seem to come through with the fantasy points we crave.  At least, at the WR position…

This week, we made some gut calls on Dez Bryant, Terrence Williams, DeMarco Murray, Tony Romo, Jason Witten and all RBs NOT named DeMarco Murray.

Bench Warmers

Sorry, he’s been terrible this year. You probably have to play him, but putting him on the bench is a symbolic gesture representing his frustrating fantasy presence. Frankly, Minnesota is pretty good against TEs so we don’t see Witten’s fantasy outlook changing anytime soon. He’s only scored more than seven fantasy points twice all season. The team seems to have a WR focus, so until Witten pulls it together, he’s hard to start. Last week, Romo only targeted Witten twice, TWICE!

Doesn’t seem like it, as they never score any points. You can’t count on any of these guys. Patterson scored the most points of the crew and even then most of his points came from a returned kickoff.

Update: It looks like Miles Austin will play.  We don’t think that changes anything, really, but we thought you should know.  This should be a high fantasy scoring fan.  Enjoy.  Play without reservations.

This week, we made some gut calls on Tony Romo, DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant, Terrence Williams and Dallas Defense.

Does Romo have a history of choking at inopportune times? Yes. Yes, he does. But if you are playing fantasy football, you need to block that out and admit that this guy is a must start. He may not kiss his bicep. He may not discount double-check. He may not hawk pizzas, but the guy will get you points. He’s playing one of the easiest defenses in the league, in a division game, and he will win your fantasy matchup for you. Let the media talking heads question him all they want. You, my friend, will play him with no reservations.
