Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Nick Foles

#2 Ranked QB

Win or loss Nick Foles scores you points. He had a killer game and scored the most points of any QB last week pulling in 33 points. Foles is the top scorer in standard leagues since week 6. You would be a fool to not start him.

LeSean McCoy

#2 Ranked RB

While McCoy didn’t have the biggest week of the season, he was still able to pulling RB2 numbers which means he is still a must start. There should be no worry of the starters not playing this week and McCoy expressed some disappointment in his lack of touches which generally means he will blow up the next week.

DeSean Jackson

#11 Ranked WR

He was the top WR for the week and is the 5th highest scoring WR for the season. Jackson is not the kind of player that you put on your bench. He will make you regret it.

Gut Calls

Riley Cooper

#25 Ranked WR

Cooper has cooled off a little bit the last three weeks scoring 4 points, 9 points and 4 points. Chicago gives up the 13th fewest points to WRs which is slightly better than average so Cooper will be boom or bust. Depending on who you have on your team, he might still be a must start in a WR3 role. Hope that Foles booms and booms in Coopers hands.

Zach Ertz

#26 Ranked TE

If for nothing less, Ertz is giving us a reason to never have to mention Brent Celek’s name again. He has seen increased targets from Foles and has 3 TDs in the last 3 games. That is better than most TEs can boast at the moment.

Bench Warmers

The Eagles may not be a playoff team in real football but they are playoff fantasy football gold. There are not clear cut Bench players from the Eagles.

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Eddie Lacy

#8 Ranked RB

The good news is that you don’t have to worry about whether or not Aaron Rodgers will be playing or not when it comes to Eddie Lacy. Even when the Packers are behind, they still continue to give the rock to Lacy and you should continue to give the start to Lacy on your fantasy team.

Other Notables:

Jordy Nelson #16, James Jones #31 and Jarrett Boykin #41. Matt Flynn did a great job last week and all of these WRs produced starting worthy numbers. Let’s hope thye can do it again this week.

Gut Calls

Matt Flynn

#27 Ranked QB

Aaron Rodgers feels closer to coming back but it hasn’t been announced whether or not he will play. You can feel a little more comfortable about Flynn after last week’s stellar performance. The Steelers are a middle of the pack DEF, so Flynn isn’t a threat of losing your fantasy game for you.

Andrew Quarless

Not Ranked WR

He had had 2 hot weeks in a row and seems to have great chemistry with Flynn. It is an added bonus that he has found the end zone twice in the last two weeks. With the TE draught of 2013, he is worth a nod.

Bench Warmers

Oddly enough I don’t have any obvious Bench players from the Packers.

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Keenan Allen

#10 Ranked WR

As expected Allen had a big week last week with 14 points. The Raiders are worse than the average DEF in the league in defending WRs, so look for Allen to have another solid week. You should be able to expect double digit points.

Other Notables:

Ryan Mathews #7

Gut Calls

Philip Rivers

#4 Ranked QB

He should been a top 10 QB last week against the Broncos DEF who gives up the 9th most points and didn’t quite come out as big as one would hope. The good news is that the Raiders give up the 3rd most points. If youj take that into consideration and remember that it is December which is River’s sweet spot, could be magic.

Bench Warmers

Antonio Gates

#10 Ranked TE

Gates has not produced a number that you would be even remotely satisfied with since week 11 and this week will be no different as the Raiders give up the 10th fewest points to TEs.

San Francisco 49ers – Fantasy Forecast – Week 16

Cover32LogoAtlanta Falcons 4-10 at San Francisco 49ers 10-4

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Colin Kaepernick

#12 Ranked QB

It is Kaepernick time people! Crabtree is back and the flame between Kaepernick and Davis still burns strong. Kaepernick is not a Must Start every week, but this matchup should be great for him. Atlanta gives up the 5th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. Kaepernick cannot get away from the cameras, as we all know with his new Dr. Dre ad, so Monday Night football should really excite him to play well.

Vernon Davis

#1 Ranked TE

Davis always plays well against bad defenses and Atlanta is just that. They give up the 7th most fantasy points to TEs. Davis had some really huge games this season and with an awesome matchup Davis is a Must Start.

Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin

#21 and #26 Ranked WR

Not just a decoy anymore, Crabtree is ready for the workload. Crabtree moves into Must Starts after coming back from injury. Boldin didn’t have a huge game last week but Atlanta gives up the 10th most fantasy points to WRs so there should be enough points to go around. Both players come in as low end WR2.

Gut Calls

Frank Gore

#20 Ranked RB

We are not sure as to what is going on with Gore. He only had one double-digits game in the last five weeks and it’s not like his TDs are being stolen away by the other back. Gore is the number one guy on the 49ers for sure; he just can’t pull up his pants and move. We would Bench him if he weren’t going up against an Atlanta Defense that gives up the 7th most fantasy points to RBs. Here is hoping for some Week 7 numbers.

Bench Warmers

No one is on the bench this week. The Atlanta Defense is really bad.

New England Patriots Featured Image

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Tom Brady

#10 Ranked QB

No, he is not the same Brady as when he has Gronk. There is no question about it and no way around it, but he is still good enough to start. He should be fired up after the loss to Miami and Baltimore’s DEF is not as good as Miami’s DEF.

Other Notables:

Julian Edelman #13

Gut Calls

Shane Vereen

#23 Ranked RB

Wuff…what a terrible week. Really, really bad. Vereen is usually a beast in PPR leagues and a go to for Brady, but that was not the case last week. Amendola is healthy which does take away some of Vereen’s receiving targets. Let’s hope for a bounce back week but consider him a Flex.

Other Notables:

Danny Amendola #24

Bench Warmers

Michael Hoomanawanui

Not Ranked TE

Analysis of the year, Hoomanawanui is not Gronk. You might still be thinking, Hooman who? Exactly. Don’t go there. All of his points were off one TD.

Seattle Seahawks Featured Image

Seattle Seahawks – Fantasy Forecast – Week 16

Cover32LogoSeattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Marshawn Lynch

#14 Ranked RB

Lynch scored the 10th most points last week and the 4th most points  over all this season. He got you here so don’t turn your back on him now. Yes, he will be going up against the top DEF in the league against RBs, but unless you magically have three or four top 20 running backs, Lynch is still a start.

Other Notables:

Seattle DEF #1 and Steven Hauschka #5

Gut Calls

Russell Wilson

#17 Ranked QB

For all you Russell Wilson lovers out there, you are thinking he is unjustly in the Gut Call section yet again but consider this…he was up against a defense that gives up the 17th fewest points to QBs last week and barely snuck into the top 20 QBs at position 19. He will be up against the Cardinals, a better DEF than the Giants, so this might not be a very fantasy football productive week. It could very well be very, very average.

Bench Warmers

Doug Baldwin

#42 Ranked WR

The Seahawks’ WRs are dropping like flies, but Baldwin is the most consistent. The problem is he is up against a very tough DEF that give up the 8th fewest points to WRs and he only scores every other week. Guess what, he scored last week which means he will be borderline non-existent this week.

Oakland Raiders Featured Image

Oakland Raiders – Fantasy Forecast – Week 16

Cover32LogoOakland Raiders 4-10 at San Diego Chargers 7-7

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Rashad Jennings

#12 Ranked RB

When Jennings plays, he plays. Jennings had 103 total yards and 2 TDs last week. The Raiders don’t have much, but Jennings seems to fit into their offense just the way our fantasy teams need. Minus not playing in Week 14 Jennings has had double-digit fantasy points every week since Week 9. Jennings is a Must Start.

Gut Calls

Michael Rivera

#14 Ranked TE

Rivera is not someone that is flashy or a TE that will get you 20 fantasy points, but they do like to give the ball to him in the end zone. He scored three TDs in the last five games. San Diego gives up the 14th fewest fantasy points to TEs.

Andre Holmes and Rod Streater

#55 and #32 Ranked WR

Talk about Boom or Bust. Both of these players have great games and not so great games. Only play these guys if you have a really tough match up for your third WR. We lean towards Streater over Holmes and even though Moore is back, we expect these two guys to get the majority of the workload. Oakland is a big question mark every week except at the WR position. San Diego gives up the 5th most fantasy points to WRs.

Bench Warmers

Everyone else is benched this week. No Moore, no McGloin and no Reece.

Cleveland Browns Featured Image

Cleveland Browns – Fantasy Forecast – Week 16

Cover32LogoCleveland Browns at New York Jets

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Josh Gordon

#2 Ranked WR

If you watched this game you know that he didn’t get you your points until very late in the game, but points are points and it doesn’t matter when in the game they get them. Gordon has bee a rock star for you all season and he will be up against the Jets who give up the 7th most point sot WRs. Stick with your guy.

Browns DEF

#7 Ranked DEF

The Browns DEF scored 14 points against Chicago, a far superior offensive juggernaut in comparison to the Jets. The Jet’s are turnover machine and give up the 2nd most points to DEFs. PLAY THE BROWNS!

Gut Calls

Jordan Cameron

#5 Ranked TE

Well…I guess Cameron isn’t back to baller status. Sad. He only had 3 catches for 2 points last week and his ribs aren’t doing too well either. The only reason he is a Gut Call is because of the match-up. The Jets give up the 7th most points to TEs and maybe Cameron can send you off in style.

Bench Warmers

Edwin Baker

#32 Ranked RB

Don’t take a flyer on Baker. He was just signed from the practice squad and had a nice little game with 13 points, but the Browns backfield is a nightmare and beyond inconsistent.

Other Notables:

Jason Campbell #20 and any other Running back.

Baltimore Ravens Featured Image

Baltimore Ravens – Fantasy Forecast – Week 16

Cover32LogoNew England Patriots 10-4 at Baltimore Ravens 7-6

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

No Must Starts this week for Baltimore.

Gut Calls

Torrey Smith

#19 Ranked WR

Smith is a scary play and if you Bench him we don’t blame you. Smith had another bad performance last week. Some might be into 6.9 fantasy points from your starting WR, but we would disagree. Smith had the team’s high in targets but we like completions. The positive thing is that Flacco is trying to get him the ball and for a lot of yards but he has to get open and more importantly Flacco has to throw well enough for Smith to catch those passes. New England gives up the 14th fewest fantasy points to WRs.

Dennis Pitta

#11 Ranked TE

Pitta is hot right now. People are ranking him very high for only playing in two games this year. Sure, he caught six passes for 48 yards and a TD his first week back, but last week he only caught 2 passes for 24 yards. If you did not take a TE early in your draft and didn’t pay attention to match-ups maybe you can roll the dice with Pitta. New England gives up the 14th most fantasy points to TEs.

Bench Warmers

Ray Rice

#33 Ranked RB

If we were you, we would bench Rice. Here are the facts: Rice hasn’t scored a TD since Week 11 and before that it was Week 5. He rushed for over 100 yards once this year and that was also in Week 11. New England gives up the 14th most fantasy points to opposing RBs. There is nothing that makes us feel warm and fuzzy about Rice in the fantasy playoffs. Bench Him!

Joe Flacco

#21 Ranked QB

Flacco is not your guy this week. Don’t risk it for him. BENCH HIM!

Indianapolis Colts Featured Image

Indianapolis Colts – Fantasy Forecast – Week 16

Cover32LogoIndianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs

Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Due to the match-up against a very tough Chiefs defense, there are no Must Starts.

Gut Calls

Andrew Luck

#14 Ranked QB

Luck is right on the cusp of a Must Start but his match-up against the Chiefs make us a little leery. The Chiefs give up the 10th fewest points to QBs and Luck was only able to get you 15 points against the Texans. He has been struggling to get over 200 passing yards and has thrown 3 INTs in the past 4 games. With that said, he is the 4th highest scoring QB for the season so it would be hard to not play him. He is a true Gut Call.

Other Notable:

Trent Richardson. #39 Yes, that was painful to admit.

Bench Warmers

T.Y Hilton and Coby Fleener

# 27 and #21 Ranked WR

Not great match-ups for either. The Chiefs give up the fewest points to TEs which means you won’t see much improvement from Fleener’s goose egg last week and they are fairly stout against WRs as well. T.Y. Hilton hasn’t been producing in the last few weeks so might not be the best week to hope for a bounce back.
