Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants

This week, we made some gut calls on Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson, and Brent Celek.

Fantasy Foreplay: Eagles v GiantsPhiladelphia Eagles (1-3) at New York Giants (0-4) PHILADELPHIA EAGLES Play ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Bench Warmers We don’t really have anyone to bench; they are playing the Giants who have looked truly terrible. The Eagles’ DEF is even projected decent points. Start the whole team and be merry.

2013 Reunion

Thursday Night is going to be a big game for many reasons. First of all we have two teams that are surprising many people with their excellent play and secondly because it will be a bit of a reunion.

Andy Reid is coming back to Philly to play against his former team. One thing is for sure, there will be no animosity from his former players towards him. In fact they have nothing but amazing things to say, calling him a father figure, a life-long friend and even going as far as Vick saying he is one of the best persons he has ever known. Chip Kelly has even leaned on Andy Reid!

While I am sure there will be a lot of emotions flying around on Thursday, this is football and is a business, so you probably won’t see it till the end of the game when it is time to hug it out.

Michael Vick: Andy Reid’s one of the greatest men I’ve ever metMichael Vick says he texts a lot with ex-coach Andy Reid. Not this week though. Vick and the Eagles will host Reid and his Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. Once the whistle blows, it will be all about football. But before and, maybe after, this one will mean a little more to Vick.

Michael Vick would like the starting quarterback position to be announced and all tied up before training camp

Philadelphia EaglesVick also seemed annoyed that there is even talk of competition from Foles. All this despite the fact that Foles has allegedly been the more accurate passer in OTAs.

Come on Vick…your 33 and had a sub par year last year. Of course your job is on the line. You very well might win it back and you very well might lose it. In the interim you should call up Mark Sanchez and become friends.

Michael Vick and Nick Foles Split Reps

Michael Vick and Nick Foles split reps according to early mini-camp reports.  No surprise here, but this is my first fantasy draft “no-go:” Stay away from the quarterback situation in Philadelphia.  I don’t care if they say one of them is the starter, both are on thin ice and they will probably go in and out the entire year.

Long gone are the days of Vick fantasy domination.  He could be a smart play here or there, but you need a quarterback you can count on.  He’s not that guy.  Even less that guy… Nick Foles.  I’m sure he’s a nice person, or whatever, but not fantasy draft worthy.

Early rankings will come out soon, but I could easily name 20 people I would rather have off the top of my head.  Here you go: Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, RG III, Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Matt Ryan, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith, Josh Freeman, Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Jay Cutler, Philip Rivers, Joe Flacco, Cam Newton, Matthew Stafford, Ben Roethlisberger.  Those are in no real particular order and off the top of my head.

Seriously, these guys are a “no-go.”
