Detroit Lions and Reggie Bush Super Bowl Winners?

Detroit LionsAfter making a deal with the Detroit Lions on March 13, 2013, Reggie Bush has become very confident with his new team. He claims that they can win the Super Bowl this year. He continued on to back step and explain they have a lot of work and it is too early to talk about the Super Bowl. On a fantasy note, Reggie can run and catch and do a lot of nothing so a questionable pick. Megatron is the man though.

Detroit also signed two free agents on Tuesday, Guard Jake Scott and wide receiver/return specialist Micheal Spurlock. Good Luck Detroit.

Why don’t the Super Bowl Champs start with a home game?

Big, fun day!  The 2013 schedule was announced on the NFL Network tonight.  And that means that I started getting REALLY EXCITED for football season.Manning calling plays, Broncos vs Steelers 2012

But I’ve been asked a few times about the Baltimore opener.

Traditionally, the Super Bowl Champs get to host the season opener, but this year the team will travel to face the Denver Broncos.  Why?

In a word, baseball. The Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens play right next to each other and share a parking lot along with a ton of city resources.  This is a logistical nightmare.  Prior to the Ravens winning the big game, the Orioles game was already set, and they refuse to move it.

So, the schedule makers decided to punish the Ravens by making them face the team that took them to double overtime on their way to the big dance.  Altitude or no, facing Peyton Manning is never fun.

Red Velvet Super Bowl Cake

I thought we should start off our blog with great game watching food.  I went to a friend’s house to watch the Super Bowl last year.  I spent the whole game wondering why the Broncos weren’t there, wishing I was Beyoncé and wondering how San Francisco causes blackouts.  But most importantly, my tummy got the comfort it needed from this delicious, football shaped red velvet Super Bowl cake.  It may be my new Super Bowl tradition.

Yum.
